CM Chandrababu to meet Prime Minister Modi today

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is leaving for New Delhi today accompanied by some top CMO officials and his media advisor Parakala Prabhakar. They will meet union ministers and stress them for speedy implementation of several projects granted to state in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014 and several promises made by the Centre to the state. Chandrababu Naidu and his team will stay at New Delhi for two days for this purpose. He is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today evening around 4pm.

Chandrababu Naidu has visited New Delhi only once after he takes charge as Chief Minister of the state. His government has presented a massive budget of Rs.1.11 lakh cores recently and badly need funds for it. Although, his government passed a G.O. for clearing the crop loans, it couldn’t materialize till today due to known reasons. Since, his government is going to complete 100 days on September 8th, obviously there is unseen pressure on his government. In this context, Chandrababu visit to New Delhi is considered to be very significant. He may stress Modi government to grant special status to the state and grant funds to kick start development activities at once, otherwise opposition parties may grab this opportunity to criticize his government. So, this time Chandrababu Naidu may oblige the Centre to grant funds for at least one big project or implement one of the several promises made to state in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014.
