Mirnaa reveals she scared for death during Jailer 2

Oct 12, 2026 4:31PM

Mirnaa Menon has recalled a frightening health scare which she feared to death, while shooting for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, revealing that she was so weak she could not even brush her teeth. Despite her condition, she eventually made it to the sets after visiting a hospital, taking medication and receiving a high-dose injection to get through an important scene.

In a recent interview, Mirnaa revealed that she woke up feeling extremely unwell on a day when a crucial scene was scheduled to be filmed. Even after taking tablets, her condition did not improve. She informed her manager that she needed medical attention and would be late to the sets. However, her search for help became difficult, as several hospitals she visited did not have doctors available at the time.

After eventually finding a doctor, Mirnaa received an injection and was given another tablet to take if she continued to experience discomfort. She took the medication on her way to the sets, but the combination left her feeling numb. She also experienced dehydration and facial swelling, making the shoot particularly challenging.

Despite the discomfort, Mirnaa completed the scene. She later became concerned about her performance because she felt she could not fully experience the emotions required for it. Director Nelson Dilipkumar, however, assured her that the scene had come out well and did not require another take. Mirnaa watched the footage again during dubbing and felt relieved that it had turned out fine.

The actress admitted that the experience continued to trouble her even later, as she wondered whether she had performed the scene as well as she could have. Her account offers a glimpse into the difficult circumstances she faced while working on the much-anticipated sequel.
