The Congress Party is making a big issue out of the flag of recently formed YSR Congress Party. The YSR Congress Party (Yuvajana, Sraamika, Rythu Congress Party) was recently floated by late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's son and former Kadapa congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The Congress has tried to rake up a controversy over the flag of the YSR Congress Party in the all party meeting convened by the chief electoral officer, Mr Bhanwar Lal. The Congress leaders complained in the meeting that the YSR Congress flag contains the portrait of late YSR's photo with his popular hearty smile and encircling his photo are his nine populist schemes including Arogyasri, Jalayagnam and fee reimbursement. What is irking the Congress more is that the newly formed party is getting undue publicity by printing them on the flag.
