New debit cards will be issued by SBI

 

Hyderabad: As financial institutions are suffering from cyber security warnings which are major, State Bank of India started informing their customers to return their debit cards for brand new ones. The head of the State Bank branches’ Hyderabad network, C V Pratap informed that there was no reason for public to panic and that they were asking the owners of the old cards to return them for safer cards as the new ones would be embedded with a microchip. Mr Pratap also added that, there were chances that if there was a lot of gap in transactions, the cards might be blocked and if the customers want to apply for new cards they could approach their branches.
