Modi Government succumbs to TRS MPs pressures?

The immense pressure created by TRS MPs on Modi government, has stopped it from presenting Polavaram Project for approval in parliament yesterday. Actually, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that his government will table Polavaram Project for approval during very first day of budget sessions and as said it was added in the Lok Sabha agenda.

After seeing the uproar by TRS MPs in the house, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has asked Speaker Sumitra Mahajan not to take up this matter for discussion. He said that his government is awaiting President Pranab Mukharji’s suggestions in this regard. So, it will be taken up for discussion and approval on some other day during the current sessions, he said.

However, it came to know that Modi government is planning to introduce Polavaram issue in Rajya Sabha today, where Congress party has strength. Since, Congress has made this proposal first for dividing AP state, BJP expects that Congress has to extend its full support to NDA government in approving this project in Rajya Sabha. Once, Rajya Sabha clears the project it will ease the pressures on Modi government and then it can pass it very easily in Lok Sabha as it has full strength.
