Budget Friendly Railways

Hopes are running high on the Rail Budget today. People are keen to have a passenger friendly budget with suggestions for improvement and security. But things are not in pocket of the R.M. or to be plucked from air like a magician. We can only expect the direction of action from these short term activities of the government. What they need to look ahead is for nationwide railway infrastructure development and improving the in-house facilities to maintain trains and railway stations. The other most needed and important tissue is to provide security in the coaches for women and passengers especially needed in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and other Northern states. The BJP govt. may have tough time sorting out the mess created by the previous Govt and the railway hikes need to be appreciated by the public for better services provided by the Railways. Let it be a 'One India Rail Budget', not a "Few States Rail Budget!
