Manipur will not get newspaper for 1 month

People in Manipur will starting their day for another whole month without their daily read of the newspaper.  This is because the sole agent in the state was forced to shut shop by the Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA). As a "form of punishment" for being found stocking, displaying and selling copies of the Manipur General Knowlege written by R. Gupta and published by Ramesh Publishing House, New Delhi, which was banned by the KSA activist, they have been to shut down their shops for one month. This would mean that the state will go without newspapers and magazines for a month. The activists say the book was banned as there were factual mistakes in it and also because it hurts the religious sentiment of the people.
