The first ever Assembly Sessions of Andhra Pradesh state after bifurcation will begin from tomorrow in the Legislative Counsel Building allotted to AP. Senior TDP leader P. Narayana rao, who takes oath as protem speaker tomorrow morning at Raj Bhavan, will administer the oath of all the new members of the Assembly tomorrow. Then the members of the house will elect Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the house on June 20th.
EL Narasimhan, who is serving as Governor of Andhra and Telangana states will address the members of both houses on June 21st. Members of both houses will discuss various points mentioned in Governor’s speech, which gives an outline of the plans of ruling TDP government till June 24th. The first sessions of the state assembly will conclude on the same day after thanking the governor for briefing the members.
Kala Venkat rao and Kodela Shiva Prasad are said to be the front runners for Speaker Post. TDP President Chandrababu may finalize one of them by tomorrow evening.
