Former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, the key accused in former air hostess Geetika Sharma suicide case, surrendered in the early hours of Saturday.
Kanda's lawyer KTS Tulsi had on Friday night said that the former Haryana minister will surrender after midnight. Meanwhile,Gopal Goyal Kanda's brother Govind brother Govind Kanda was arrested on Friday night in connection with the Geetika Sharma suicide case, police said. According to media reports, the police wants to arrest Kanda before he can surrender.
"We will get Kanda soon enough. Our best boys are on the job." Delhi police commissioner tweeted at 10.45pm on Friday night.
Kanda took the decision to surrender after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Delhi high court on Friday, sources said.
