Devi Prasad trailing in MLC elections

The results of two MLC seats in Andhra Pradesh were declared, but still the counting of votes is continuing in the Telangana. AS Ramakrishna backed by the TDP (Krishna and Guntur constituencies) and Ramu Surya Rao (East and West Godavari districts) backed by the UTF wins the MLC elections. Chaitanya Raju supported by the TDP was defeated by him in the elections.

According to latest reports, BJP candidate Ramachandra Rao, who has contested against the TRS candidate G. Devi Prasad Rao, is leading in the third round of counting also. BJP leaders believe that if the same pace is continues their party candidate will win the elections. Currently, he is leading with 6000 votes against his rival candidate Devi Prasad.

T-NGO President Devi Prasad has resigned to his government job in the irrigation department to contest these elections as Telangana Chief Minister KCR has offered him party ticket. So, if Devi Prasad is defeated by the BJP candidate, it will be a big blow to him and to the ruling TRS party also.

However, TRS candidate Palla Rajeswar Reddy is leading over the BJP candidate Errabelli Ramohan Rao in Nalgonda, Warangal and Khammam graduates’ constituency. TDP is supporting the BJP candidates in the Telangana state. Counting of votes may complete around mid-night today.
