Panchayat powers reclaimed in VGTM area

In wake of state government’s decision to build capital city in and around Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri (VGTM) area, today it issued a G.O. transferring all powers of panchayats to state government to prevent panchayats approving land transfers and sales in this specified area. So, this fresh GO will bring all the land deals to a halt in this VGTM area.
