AP Assembly Session 24-02-12: At last the sensational liquor syndicates issue has been taken up for debate on Friday after the tea break. Minister Kanna Laxminarayana spoke on behalf of the chief minister.
The minister told the House that the ACB has conducted raids on 34 liquor syndicate offices in the state. The investigation is still going on. The government is contemplating to bring some changes in the state excise policy. The minister said that since the issue is in the court, it is not proper for the house to discuss such matters at this stage.
The TDP members obstructed Kanna's speech and demanded that the ACB remand report be presented in the House. They said that they too are in possession of the copies of the report and they have sufficient basis for all that they are speaking in the assembly.
