TRS Gulab Gang ready for April 30th

It’s now official- the Election Commission has released the poll schedule and the Election Code of Conduct is effective from today! We have the state of Andhra Pradesh going to the polls for the last time in History as a unified Andhra only to be divided after June 2nd when it becomes Telangana and Andhra. Does it matter if it’s Seemandhra or Andhra, anyways it is the rest of Andhra.

So on the 30th of April 2014 the region of Telangana  goes to vote and on May 7th 2014  Seemaandhra goes to vote. This has set the ball rolling for a historic battle between all parties who are going to fight it out for a share of this divided state. Potti Sreeramulu’s fast and ultimately his death for Andhra have gone wasted, but we have the new Telangana Gandhi who managed to survive the fast unto death at the Nizam hospital  in Hyderabad in 2009  and unleashed the whole pandemonium which led to the state bifurcation. He now wants the City of Hyderabad to be the next Pink City apparently ! Move over Jaipur. And we saw that happen when the city of Hyderabad turned pink literally with the TRS party flags and flexi banners used for welcoming him after his Delhi sojourn. Now did anyone miss him at the parliament along with his sulking partner TRS MP Vijayasanthi not speaking a word when the bill was tabled, discussed or passed? Maybe we missed all of that in the great black- out and with Ramulamma finally ditching him for the Congress which according to her is the real reason why the T Bill was passed.

With Election schedule out we need to see what strategy TRS KCR and his Gulab Gang intend to do to win the 119 Assembly seats and 17 Parliamentary Seats in the T region. Calling off the alliance with Congress  because the UPA government has not acceded to a single point suggested by TRS in the T Bill, they have set up a 5-member committee headed by party Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao to decide on forging alliances for the coming elections. The committee also includes Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Etela Rajender, Kadiam Srihari and B Vinod. So we need to wait and see what their next move will be.
