Crisis in Karnataka, Shettar to loss power ?

A major political crisis is on the verge in Karnataka and the state Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar may loss his post soon if the tactics of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) leader Yeddyurappa have succeeded.

As per the reports, about 16 MLAs of KJP are meeting in Bangalore tomorrow reportedly to announce their decision of withdrawing support to the state government. Immediately after the meeting, they may call on the governor to inform him on withdrawing their support to the government.

It may be recalled that the state Deputy Chief Minister K.S.Eswarappa had made some adverse comments on Yeddyurappa recently which angered the former chief minister. Further, the chief minister is also planning to present the state budget in the second week of next month. Keeping in mind these developments, Yeddyurappa has planned to oust the state government at the earliest.

What Yeddyurappa has in mind at the moment is he just wanted to show his hold on the MLAs who are supporting the state government. Sensing danger to the Shettar government, the party high command is planning to send its senior leader Arun Jaitely to Bangalore today.

Whatever be the position, the only intention of Shettar at the moment is keeping the power with him at the time of next elections to the state assembly. If there is a chance of losing his power in the no confidence motion, if any, he is planning to dissolve the assembly so that the elections will be held in the state with his caretaker government in office.

However, we have to wait and see for the next big development in the state.
