Trial on Delhi gang rape case from today

 

The sensational gang rape case trial will formally begins from today with Delhi Police filing a charge sheet in the high court. Police have filed charge sheet against five out of six, excluding the minor who also involved in the crime.

 

The police have booked charges on the accused for gang rape, attempt of murder, destruction of evidences, kidnapping, abducting, unnatural offenses, inflicting injury and robbery. After formally submitting the charge sheet at high court, the court will give its permission to the specially constituted fast-track court to trail the case. The only issue left in this case is whether to conduct the trail in the court or in the jail premises.

 

The high court has suggested five names of the judges, who are going trial this case in the fast-track court that begins its work in a couple of days. The BAR association at district court has refused to take-up the case on behalf of the six accused.

 

Legal experts opine that it is plain case in which all the necessary evidences are present to convict the accused in a matter of 15 to 25 days. They opine there will be no much argument take place if the accused pleads guilty. In such case, the court can convict the accused without any further delay. If, the accused don’t plead guilty or wants to appeal in the high court, even then also it may hardly take a month time to conclude the trail.

 

The proceedings of the trail court will be made on day-to-day basis.
