He was born in Tenali on 2nd January, 1957. He begins his career as journalist but after entering film industry he made it home and acted in 500 films. TDP leader jumps into YCP

Senior TDP leader Annabattula Shiva Kumar from Tenali, takes plunge into YSR Congress party in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy today. He is son of former minister late A.Satyanarayana, who served as cabinet minister in late NTR’s government.

If can’t keep the state unite then grant us…

Chiranjeevi, Purandeswari, Kavuri and others keep telling the people that they have quit their posts long ago, but they camp at New Delhi and keep in touch with their high command even today, of course for the sake of Seemandhra people.   They, who once fought to keep the state unite are taking now taking pains to get a good package for the same people. They place their wish-list before GoM and their high command. They meet Veerappa Moily only to warn him that if Hyderabad is not declared as Union Territory, then they can’t convince Seemandhra people for dividing the state. They also demands for several projects and enough funds, not for themselves but for the sake of Seemandhra people.   If, they fail to convince their high command to grant these sops, then they may demand it to give tickets of their choice for contest in the next general elections. Perhaps, they may definitely convince their high command for this demand.

CM Kiran is Congress Loyalist: Digvijay

While, entire T-Congress leaders strongly believe that Kiran Kumar Reddy is unfit to be CM of the state and need to be replace immediately, party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh says he is most loyal leader of the party and there is plans to remove him.   Speaking to media at New Delhi, “CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and his family members have been loyal to Congress. He has right to ask questions on bifurcation. It doesn’t mean he is opposing the CWC decision, which is highest governing body of our party. He has already agreed to obey the party orders. Hence, the question of replacing him doesn’t arise at all. His replacement is not the agenda of co-ordination meeting. It is intended to develop co-ordination between party and government in the state and nothing else. Telangana bill is likely to be sent in the last week of this month. We will strictly follow the constitutional procedures in bifurcation,” said Digvijay Singh.

    KCR to Delhi on 11th

TRS is one among the five parties that will attend the all-party meeting with Home Minister on 12th November. Hence, TRS president KCR accompanied some of his party leaders will leave for New Delhi on 11th evening. He will attend the meeting and clear the doubts if any raised by GoM.   Since there proposals for merger of his party with Congress, it may be the other reason for his visit to Delhi. He has been telling that any such proposals can be considered only after the T-Bill is passed in the Parliament. However, he is said to be reluctant for merger, but prefers for poll alliance only. Hence, the picture may come clear only after the T-Bill is passed in the Parliament.

Is this last visit for CM Kiran to Delhi?

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving for New Delhi today to attend party co-ordination committee meeting. He may also meet Sonia Gandhi during this visit. There were speculations in the media that it would his last visit to Delhi and he will be asked to step down from his chair immediately.   However, Minister TG Venkatesh said that it would help only to project CM Kiran Kumar Reddy as war-hero of Samaikyandhra and hence high command may not insisit for his resignation. He opined high command has to wait until CM Kiran quits on his own. He said no one in the prevailing situation wants to succeed him.   Another minister Sailajanath, known to be a close aide of CM, rubbished the reports about launching of new political party by CM Kiran. He said Kiran and all of they will stay in Congress only but continue their fight for Samaikyandhra till last minute.   Therefore, high command might have summoned Kiran to Delhi only to gauge his mood and to tell him how it plans to proceed with bifurcation process, in case if he still refuses to co-operate with it.

Land Mines seized in Poll Bound Chhattisgarh

In wake of Sonia, Rahul and Narendra Modi’s election campaign in poll bound Chhattisgarh state, in a joint operation conducted by CRPF and state police, traced two land mines each weighing 25 kgs with highly improvised explosive devices planted under the road between Dornapal and Jagargunda near Chintalnar in Sukma district in the state. Both the landmines were immediately defused by the bomb squads.   The landmines were planted exactly in the same place, where Maoists have planted them in the last year, in which 76 people were killed on the spot. This finding reveals that it is the handy work of Maoists and they are still very active in the state. Security forces are still conducting a wise search in the districts, where the top leaders if Congress and BJP will be conducting election campaign.

Raghuram Cements case adjourned to 3rd

The CBI, which takes-up the CBI charge sheet filed against Raghuram Cemnets in connection with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case, has adjourned the case to December 3rd. Besides others, the prime accused in this case YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijaya Sai Reddy also attends the court today.

One more party in the name of late YSR

The in-fight between YSR Congress leaders in Nellore gave birth to a new political party ‘Rajanna Dalam.’ Mekapati brothers, who are dominating the others in the party in Nellore, have recently suspended Mettakuri Chiranjeevi Reddy and his followers. There are several others, who also got same treatment in Mekapati brothers’ hands.   So, they have decided to launch a new political party ‘Rajanna Dalam’ to bring all those loyalists of late YS Rajashekar Reddy on to a common platform, who find no place or respect in YSR Congress party. Speaking to media, “Soon, we will register our party with EC and contest for all seats in the upcoming elections,” Chiranjeevi Reddy said.   Perhaps, YSR Congress may not consider it as a serious threat for it now, but a party carrying the name of late Rajashekhar Reddy will definitely split the votes and impacts its electoral chances. Therefore, Jagan may ask Mekapati brothers to strike a deal with the dissidents before it is proved too late for the party.

    Why Rayala Telangana surfaces again?

Congress plans to gain political mileage with its bifurcation idea. The timing of its decision itself is a testimony for its intention. However, it rather interested to retain power in Centre than in the state. Although there are 25 MP seats in Seemandhra, it prefers to rely upon 15 MP seats in Telangana, which it believes can definitely win. It plans to merge TRS party, so as there will be no challenge for it in Telangana. But, the power hungry TRS is reluctant to this idea. It wants to make a clean sweep in the next elections and get all it demands fulfilled by twisting the Centre’s hand, whether it may be an UPA or NDA alliance form the government.   So, to make TRS fall in-line Congress has once again pulled out its Rayala Telangana idea recently. Congress is very well knew that TRS dislikes and strongly opposing this proposal. So, it leaks the news about its Rayala Telangana to put TS back onto track. However, it may very difficult for Congress party to manage TRS party at this moment, because even if it can’t strike a deal with TRS in this reagrd, it has to go ahead only as it can't afford to roll back its decision in the prevailing situation.

    Setback for Penna Cements

Government cancels two mining leases of Penna Cements Company given in 265 acres and 45 acres in Tallacheruvu Village in Ananthapuram district and takes back both mining lands from the Company. Savyasachi Gosh, Secretary of Industries Ministry has issued notices in this regard on Wednesday. Though, the Company has more than 11.06 square km. of limestone mining lands in its possession as against maximum limit is 10 sq.km for any company, these two pieces of lands were allotted on lease to the Company by late Rajashekar Reddy government. Therefore, the state government has taken back the lands from Penna and cancelled its mining lease permissions in these lands.

High Command summons CM Kiran to Delhi

The latest development in state politics is summoning of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy by party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh to New Delhi for conducting a co-ordination committee meeting with the state Congress ministers. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s rebellion against high command’s decision and the number of complaints being made by T-Congress leaders and Ministers, might have obliged the high command to summon CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to New Delhi, otherwise generally the co-ordination committee meetings are used to hold at Hyderabad only.   CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has been asked to make himself available by Friday evening that is a day after GoM final meeting. Hence, it would be very significant meeting as he may be asked to fall in line with party and shoulder the responsibility of passing the T-bill/draft in the state Assembly. If, he shows any reluctance to obey the party orders, then how the Congress high command is going to handle the situation is interesting to know.

    All-party meeting reorganized

Home Ministry has reorganized the proposed two days all-party-meeting to one day after TDP, YSRCP and CPM have refused to attend it. The meeting will be held on November 12th. However, this time home ministry is conducting one-to-one meeting instead of conducting a group meeting with all parties. Hence Home Ministry has invited CPI, BJP, MIM, TRS and Congress parties to attend the meeting on 12th. The Parties are expected to give their suggestions about the measures to be taken during bifurcation process and any suggestion in this reagrd.   It will begin the meetings with MIM and then followed by CPI, TRS and finally Congress party. MIM is opposing division of the state. If division is inevitable, it demands for Rayala Telangana by merging Anantapur and Karnool with Telangana.

    ED grills Vijaya Sai Reddy

Enforcement officials have grilled Vijaya Sari Reddy with questions for two hours at New Delhi today in connection with VanPic land issue. He was asked to attend interrogation again on 18th of this month. He is accused No: A-2 in all the ten charge sheets filed by CBI in connection with Jagan Mohan Reddy's illegal assets cases.

Union Ministers sent report to GoM

Union Ministers Pallam Raju, Purandeswari, Kavuri and others might have quit their posts, but still their resignations are not accepted by Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh. Though, they are not attending their official duties people and the government both are still considering them as Union Ministers. So, if they also believe the same there is nothing wrong in it. Besides these three, Union Ministers JD Sheelam, Killi Krupa Rani, Panabaka, who are reluctant to quit their posts have met at New Delhi yesterday to finalize best package for Seemandhra region. They have made a detailed report of 16 pages and sent it to GoM and also to Prime Minister by email.   However, they have refused to talk to media after concluding their meeting. While CM Kiran and his followers are still confident to halt the bifurcation process by defeat the T-Bill/ Draft in the Assembly, some others like these ministers are strongly believing bifurcation of the state is certain.

Bus fares to go high from today

As expected, the state government has given its nod for increasing the bus fares to keep the wheels of APS RTC in running. The two month long strike by APNGOs and strikes in Telangana left its ill-effects on RTC. Hence, even people expect there would be steep hike in the bus fares. Government also might have understood this situation and gave nod for hike.   The increased fares will come into effect from today Tuesday mid-night. The hike in ticket fares varies with different services of RTC.   Here are the details: Garuda Service: 20NP/ KM; Garuda plus: 15NP/KM; Indra: 12NP/KM; Super luxury:11 NP/KM;Deluxe:9 NP/KM; Express:7NP/KM; Palle Velugu: 4NP/KM.

    Botsa summoned to New Delhi

Even while, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana is preparing to land at New Delhi with the party letter in hand that is intended to submit to GoM, he was summoned by party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh to Delhi today. Hence, Botsa will meet Digvijay Singh and explain him about his meetings held with Seemandhra and T-Congress leaders yesterday. Botsa may submit the letter to GoM after taking approval from Digvijay Singh. Today is the last day for submitting suggestions to GoM.   YCP already shoots a letter to GoM stating it doesn’t want to give any suggestions on bifurcation because it is against it. CPM also replied in the same manner as it is also opposing division of the state. TDP decides not to give any reply to Home Ministry’s letter, but plans to write a letter to Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh expressing its annoyance over the way Home Ministry is spearheading with bifurcation process. TRS already sent its reply to GoM.

YCP and CPM shoot letters to Home Ministry

The all-party-meeting to be held before end of this week seeking suggestions on the guidelines on bifurcation has put all political parties in the state on toes. There was in dilemma in the parties whether to attend it or not. CPM and YSR Congress parties have replied to Home Ministry stating that they have no suggestions to offer on bifurcation as they both opposing the proposal. TDP and Congress parties will be holding internal meetings to take a decision in this regard. TRS has recently sent its suggestions to GoM in this regard. T-Congress MLCs also sent their suggestions to GoM recently. TRS and CPI have expressed readiness to attend the all-party-meeting. Attending this all-party-meeting is considered as acceptance for dividing the state, there was dilemma in TDP, whether to attend it or not.
