Keshav rao amends his statement

  Keshav rao, secretary general of TRS got a strong pinch from KTR, after he stated that ‘Telangana is not achieved by any single hero, but a collective effort of Telangana people and sacrifices.”   Therefore, he has changed his version and now states, “KCR went extreme with his indefinite hunger strike held four years ago. It will remain a memorable day in Telangana history, with which he forced the Centre to make a favorable statement on Telangana. His efforts and fight for Telangana deserves a great honor. TRS party has fought a tiresome battle under his leadership and finally achieved Telangana state.” Hope KCR’s family members in TRS will forgive Keshav rao after this statement.

China objects President Pranab’s visit to Arunachal

  China, which is arguing that the state of Arunachal Pradesh falls under its own territory and integral part of it, has strongly objected President Pranab Mukharji’s two day visit to the state.   The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Government speaking to media said “An official visit by President of India to a disputed area of eastern section of the China-India is not laudable. We hope India government would take initiative in safeguarding the overall interests of bilateral relations, instead of disrupting the process with such actions. We insist India government work together in maintaining peace in the border areas.”   This is not first time for the China to raise such objections, but it has been objecting whenever President or Prime Minister visit the state claiming entire Arunachal Pradesh belongs to it.   However, Indian government has not tried to counter its objections, instead it made it a practice to send its PM or President to the state as a counter. Addressing the state Assembly, they will reiterate that the state is integral part of India and no other country can claim rights on it.

State and Union Cabinets meeting on 3rd

  The union cabinet will meet on December 3rd to discuss and give its opinion on the key issues left by GoM, so that it can submit its final report on the next day. State cabinet is also meeting on the same day after a gap of two months. However, the T-Ministers, who are boycotting CM Kiran Kumar Reddy for the last four months for his anti-Telangana arguments, may not attend this meeting. The timing of the meeting that coincides with union cabinet meeting makes many raise eye brows. Probably, the cabinet may finalize the dates for the Assembly sessions during this meeting.

SC says nothing wrong in Live-in Relationships

  The growing number of live-in relationships in the country and subsequent adverse effects of them makes Supreme Court spell its opinion and order the government to amend the existing laws to provide full cover to sufferers of such broken relationships.   A bench headed by Justice K S Radhakrishnan has expressed its views and gave some guidelines to government in this regard, in its latest verdict. Justice K S Radhakrishnan said, “Live-in or marriage like relationship is neither a crime nor a sin though it is not acceptable in our country. It is up to the couple to decide whether to get married or settle for a live-in relationship for having a heterosexual relationship between them."   "However, if they are broken, women and children born out of this kind of relationships are the silent sufferers, as the society doesn’t like to accept or acknowledge such relationships. Since, there are no appropriate laws to cover the sufferers, many women and children in the country are facing social and legal problems. Hence, a proper legislation is to be made by the Parliament for their protection and to ensure the legal rights of the sufferers,” said justice Justice K S Radhakrishnan

Anna Hazare to begin hunger strike from 10th

  Social activist Anna Hazare is once again sitting on indefinite hunger strike to stress the UPA government to bring powerful Lokpal Bill during winter Parliament sessions. This time he will conduct his Deeksha at Yadav Baba temple premises in his native village Ralegan Siddi in Ahmed Nagar district, Maharashtra, from December 10th.   The timing of his hunger strike may turn embarrassing for UPA government, as it may provide a weapon to BJP and rival parties to turn offensive against it in the Parliament sessions.

Kishan Reddy rubbishes alliance with TDP

  BJP state President Kishan Reddy rubbishing the reports about poll alliance between his party and TDP said “There are no such plans as of now. Several parties, including TDP are keen to have alliance with us, because they have realized that BJP will be the winning horse in the next elections. But, we have decided to contest alone for all the seats without going for alliance with any party.”   Kishan Reddy said “TDP is spreading rumors about alliance with us. But, how can we accept alliance with TDP, which can’t win a single seat during last bye-elections held in Telangana. However, currently there is political dilemma is prevailing in the state. So, I think this is not the time to speak about poll alliances. However, I don’t have any personal agenda. I will strictly follow what my high command decides.”   “I think TDP also will bid good bye to Telangana, once the state is divided. We can’t find a regional party operating in two states anywhere in India. Only national parties like us can afford for it. Once the state is divided, our party will create separate branches for both states. It is up to our Andhra Pradesh branch to decide whether to have poll alliance with TDP or not. As far as Telangana state is concerned, I think it is highly impossible,” said Kishan Reddy.

TRS likely to distance from Congress

  Congress high command has been handling the bifurcation matter as if it is its internal affair and not bothered to take KCR or his party into consideration, while taking crucial decisions on issues like Hyderabad. However, KCR and his team are patiently waiting for Congress to make some wrong and unacceptable decisions on Telangana for drawing swords on it. Obviously, Congress is obliged to take some painful decisions that are not acceptable to TRS. So, once the Congress spells its mind on Hyderabad and other sensitive issues, TRS will grab the chance to completely distance from it and may resume its agitations until next general elections to keep the heat on.   The T-Congress leaders’ efforts to project themselves as Telangana champions is another reason that provide enough grounds to distance from Congress party. So, is TRS aiming their guns at T-Congress leaders, while sparing Congress high command for a while.   TRS, which is dreaming to form its own government in the new state and also wants to play king-maker role at national level may not leave any chance to distance from Congress party. Once the Congress revels the shape and structure of Telangana state, TRS start playing its cards.

The politics behind Tarun Tej Pal case

  Tarun Tej Pal, the founder Tehalka web portal, who tried to molest his subordinate few days ago at a hotel in Goa, has been summoned by the police for quizzing today. He was asked to attend before them at 3 pm. Goa police plans issue non-bailable arrest warrants against him, in case he fails to turn-up for interrogation. Tarun Tej Pal’s plea for anticipatory bail has been turned down by Delhi high court recently. So, it appears his arrest is inevitable.   However, the whole issue seems to have some political motivations also. Tehalka has blown-up the illegal practices of BJP leaders with its sting operation conducted during NDA regime and unearthed several scams in the later period. So, it is obvious that BJP hates Tehalka and its management. So, when this odd incident happens in the BJP ruled Goa led by its Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, obviously it may not let Tehalka go out of its hook at any cost. So is the enthusiasm shown by Goa police.   However, Digvijay Singh replying to a media question said “As far as I know about Tarun Tej Pal, he is fighting against communal forces since a long time. But, can’t say what exactly happens behind. So, let the law take its own course.”   By his statement, it is understood that Congress has soft corner for him because he is fighting against its rival BJP. Let, the politics take their own twists but, Tarun Tej Pal indeed deserve due punishment, because he already admitted that he is guilty.

S’ Ministers met Jairam Ramesh

  Union Ministers Chiranjeevi, JD Seelam, Panabaka and Killi Kriparani have met Jai Ram Ramesh today ahead of the crucial GoM meeting to be held this afternoon. They stressed for declaring Hyderabad as UT and to transfer Bhadrachalam into residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. They also put several other demands before him.   Later speaking to media Chiranjeevi said “It appears division of the state is inevitable. Hence, we are concentrating on the best package that we can get for Andhra Pradesh state.” Besides meeting Jai Ram Ramesh, they are also planning to meet finance minister P.Chidambaram immediately after this meeting.   There was also another meeting takes place simultaneously at Antony’s residence today. Home Minister Shinde, Chidambaram, Narayana Swamy and state Congress party political in-charge Digvijay Singh have participated in this meeting. They have discussed about various proposals and demands made by regional leaders of the state. Their meeting was also over a short while ago.

Assembly session may begin from Dec.2nd

  Even while, the letter from Chief Minister Office asking for prorogue of the Assembly is lying with Speaker Nadendla Manohar, he is gearing-up for a special sessions of state Assembly likely to be held on December 2nd and 3rd. If, necessary the sessions may be extended for one more day and not any further.   The special sessions are only intended to discuss on Telangana Bill and no other issues will be allowed. Yesterday, Speaker Nadendla Manohar has held meeting with Assembly staff as a part of preparations for the sessions. Today, a meeting with police officials is also scheduled to discuss about security arrangements for the special sessions.

Britisher to sue Taj Hotel management

  Exactly five years ago, Pak based terrorists have attacked Mumbai, where 166 people died and several injured and disabled permanently. While, the nation mourns for the tragic incident on Tuesday, Will Pike from North London is all set to sue the Taj Hotel management- Tata Group for its inability to provide enough security to its customers.   The 33 year old Britisher was badly injured in an attempt to escape from the terrorists attacks on December 26th, 2008 on Taj Hotel. He broke his back, pelvis and leg and fracturing both his left wrist and right elbow. He was paralyzed and confined to wheel chair now. His lawyer, Russell Levy said that his client Will Pike can’t expect justice, if he files a case in India, which may take a life time to complete. Hence, he is filing a case against the hotel management in London court (on December 2nd) where the hotel management-Tatas have businesses near Buckingham Palace in London. He said that his client deserve compensation for his maintenance, but doesn’t want the British government to pay for it, while the concerned is ignored.

Harish rao files petition against CM Kiran

  TRS leader Harish rao has filed a petition in High Court today against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy complaining that he is liberally granting funds to his native Chittoor district for bringing water projects keeping in view of his political future, while completely ignoring Telangana districts. He appealed the court to stay the orders issued by CM. The court adjourns this case to next Monday.   CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has signed G.O on October 4th, 2013 granting administrative clearances for diverting 6.61 TMC of drinking water from Kandaleru project in Nellore to his home constituency Pileru in Chittoor at a cost of Rs.7, 390 crore. He has granted Rs.5,990 crore for implementation of the first phase of this project, which is expected to complete in three years. TDP leader Somi Reddy Chandra Mohan Reddy alleges that the project is actually intended to raise funds for Kiran’s proposed political party to be launched soon.

Life Sentence for Arushi parents

  Ghaziabad court, which has declared Dr.Rajesh Talwar and his wife Dr. Nupur Talwar are guilty in double murder case of their 14 year old daughter Arushi Talwar and servant Hemaraj, has convicted them with life sentence on Tuesday. The Judge Shyam Lal giving his verdict has mentioned 26 strong reasons that prove the Talwar couple guilty and deserve punishment. The CBI lawyer has appealed the court to punish the guilty with death sentence, but the court convicted Talwar couple with life sentence. They were immediately taken into police custody. The defense lawyer said they will appeal in high court.

Is TDP going to oppose T-Bill?

  As the T-Bill is getting ready to hit the state Assembly any time after 28th of this month, the state political situation is also getting heated-up gradually. TDP, which is in dilemma over its stand on bifurcation, has stick to its ‘equal justice’ point until now. But, how it’s going to react on the t-Bill is a point of interest.   So far, there is a general belief that TDP will let it both regional leaders argue on behalf of their people. However, if we go through its President Chandrababu Naidu’s latest statement, we can understand that TDP is going to oppose Telangana bill in state Assembly.   Chandrababu said “We insist the Centre to strictly confine to constitutional procedures in the bifurcation process otherwise we will be obliged to fight against it both at state and center levels. We suggest the Centre not to try any short cuts in this process. It must take the endorsement of state Assembly for the T-bill. There is Article 371 (D) and (E) that need to be amended, before seeking approval of the T-Bill. Unless, the T-Bill ensures equal justice to both regions, we can’t support it. Hence, we warn the Centre not to take the people of the state for granted.”   If, TDP is going to oppose the T-Bill in the Assembly, then what would be the fate of its Telangana leaders? Can it afford to lose them or are they afford to stick to party, even when it opposes Telangana creation? What about Party's political and electoral chances in Telangana?

Can the T-bill reach Parliament in time?

  Even if ignoring possibilities of amending Article 371 (D), submitting T-Bill into Parliament in-time has become a big challenge for Congress party now, due to delay in GoM report submission to Cabinet. Actually GoM is expected to submit its report on or before 21st of this month, but it is postponed to 28th now. The T-Bill has to pass through several stages before it could reach Parliament.   First, Cabinet has to approve the T-Bill prepared by GoM and then it will be sent to President Pranab Mukharji for his consent and forwarding to state Assembly. He may be given at least 3-7 days’ time to forward the bill to state Assembly. Then the state Assembly will also needs at least two weeks’ time for returning the bill with its remarks either positive or negative.   Then, if the President considers the opinions expressed by state assembly to be justified, then he may send the Bill to Cabinet with his remarks asking for certain changes. In such case, further delay is inevitable. If, President prefers to ignore the views expressed by state Assembly on the Bill, he may simply forward the same to Cabinet for submitting in the Parliament.   This entire process may take not less than three-four weeks, if the Congress high command let it go in accordance with constitution procedures. Otherwise, it has to ensure the bill move with rocket speed and return to it without halting anywhere in between.   Parliament winter sessions will commence from 5th and ends on 20th December. So, it is understood that time factor is also very crucial for approving the T-bill. If, Congress fails to submit the Bill during the current sessions, it has to summon special sessions after the Bill completes all this process. But, after creating so much hype over submitting and approving the bill in winter sessions, Congress may not afford to do so, because it may send wrong signals to Telangana.   Of course, Congress has to ensure BJP supports it for amending Article 371 (D) before submitting the Bill into Parliament, otherwise it would be suicidal for it. Even if the bill doesn't requires any constitutional amendments then also the time factor turns major hurdle for its approval.   After seeing all these things, people wonder how Congress is planning overcome all these problems and get the approval of Parliament for the T-Bill. No need to say that the Congress eagerness to cash-in the 2014 elections by dividing the state is creating all these complications.

Mixed response for Jagan’s Mumbai tour

  Jagan’s Mumbai tour to gather support from NCP and Shiv sena parties for keeping the state united got a mixed response. While, the Sarad Pawar led NCP has bluntly told him that it supports creation of Telangana state, Shiv sena Chief Uddav Thackeray agreed with Jagan’s arguments and promised to extend all possible support to keep the state united. Today he will visit flood Helen Cyclone affected areas of East and West Godavari districts. Next, Jagan will visit Chennai to seek support from DMK and AIADMK parties.

Court declares Arushi Talwar parents guilty

  The mysterious murder case of 14 year old Arushi Talwar and servant Hemraj that take five years to solve has finally zeroed upon Arush’s parents as guilty. The Ghaziabad High court has pronounced Arushi’s parents Dr. Rajesh and Nupur Talwar as guilty in this double-murder case.   During the five years of investigation, there were several unexpected twists taken place in the case. First, the girl was found dead in her bed room of her Noida home on 2008, May 16th. Police found her throat was slit with some sharp weapon. Police suspects the servant Hemraj, but the next day he was also found dead on the terrace of Talwar’s house. Police have filed case and arrested Arushi’s father Dr.Rajesh in double murder case.   Later, the case has been handed over to CBI on May 31st. CBI arrested Dr.Rajesh’s compounder Krishna, two servants Raj Kumar and Vijay Mandal. After days of interrogation and conducting Narco tests, CBI has released them declaring not connected to the case. Then it took Arushi’s parents and repeated the interrogation process. Then CBI instead of solving the case, it asks court permission to close the case. But, a special court of Ghaziabad rejects CBI's closure request and also orders it to file case against Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the double-murder case.   Then the whole team of CBI investigating the case has been changed and a new team begins investigation from scratch. It framed charges on the doctor couple for murdering their daughter and servant. The case, which has been prolonged until now with many unexpected twists of arrests and bails till today, has finally find its end with the court pronouncing the doctor couple guilty in the murder case.   The court will announce sentence on its Tuesday hearing. However, Talwar couple has denied the charges levied against them and said that they will appeal in Supreme Court. The motive of these murders is said to be affair between the girl and servant.
