DK Aruna asks KCR quit CM Post

  TRS government is badly struck with its election promise of supplying 8 hours power to farmers after it comes to power. It is not in a position to implement its promise nor can take back its promise. The prevailing power crisis in Telangana has become a curse to Telangana government, farmers and industries, but provides a great opportunity to opposition parties to attack ruling TRS government.   Former minister DK Aruna asks Telangana CM KCR to step down from his post, if he is unable to supply power to farmers and industries. She asked him that what should the farmers do till he make the state self-sufficient in three years. She asked him why he made false promises to farmers, when he knows he can’t until three years. She demands him to ensure 8 hours power supply to save the standing crops, otherwise step-down from his post owing his failure to implement his promise.   Former Minister Shabbir Ali also aims his guns on CM KCR. He said that he is ready for a public debate on the present and previous power generation and supply situations. He said Congress government has never let down the farmers or industries during its regime. He flayed CM KCR for his inability to co-op the crisis situation.

Fresh troubles awaits TRS government

  It seems fresh troubles await ruling TRS government as TDP and Congress parties are gearing to conduct bus-yatras in Telangana state very soon. YSR Congress party is also gearing to return to Telangana very soon. Today its president Jagan Mohan Reddy is holding a meeting with his Telangana leaders for this purpose.   TDP Telangana leaders have announced that they will go on bus-yatra from October 10th for three days. T-Congress leaders also are preparing to conduct Raithu-Barosa-yatra one day in advance to TDP’s bus yatra. BJP may not sit quietly if these two parties are conducting bus yatras in the state, when GHMC elections are round the corner. So, it also may join its alliance partner TDP or conduct a separate bus-yatra to catch the heat. YSR Congress party also may definitely join their race to revamp its position in the state in the same elections context.   Ruling TRS party that is badly troubling with power crisis and is unable to face severe criticism by opposition parties, may find it hard to face them all at a time, when they kick start their bus-yatras. Definitely they may create some negative impression on Telangana government in the people with their bus-yatras. So, TRS party has to prepare a plan to counter them all. Probably, it may pull-out Telangana sentiment to shield itself from their attacks.

Industries may effect with two day power holiday

  Telangana government has increased the power holiday from one-day a week to two-days to industries in Hyderabad to save the standing crops. This two-day power holiday will come into effect from Wednesday onwards. Minister Harish rao said it is necessitated with huge gap between demand and supply of power.   The present overall consumption is 154 million units but there is only 123-30 million units supply. Hence, the government plans to save additional 1.3 million units by increasing power holiday to industrial sector and divert the same to agriculture to save the standing crops. Although, this may be a temporary measure, it may adversely affect the beleaguered industrial sector. Daily wage labor and employees may become first victims of this power holiday affect.

TRS government may collapse in 3 years: Congress

  T-Congress leaders are fuming on CM KCR for comparing them with barking dogs. Senior Congress leaders Gandra Venkata Ramana and Batti Vikramarka have sharply criticized him for using un-parliamentary language against them.   They said “It is unfortunate to have a CM like him for the state. His language is very disgraceful and he is a very peculiar person, who proudly compares himself with Hitler. He may compared us with barking dogs, but being loyal servants to the people, we will play a watch dog role and oblige him to implement every promise he made to people.”   “He is asking three years’ time to clear the crop loans and to improve the power situation in the state. But, we don’t think his government will continue that long. It may collapse anytime because many of his party MLAs are quite unhappy with his style. So, he can’t make farmers wait for three years. He should clear their loans by converting them into government loans or issue bonds to bankers instead of issuing to them," they said.   Whether Congress leaders’ prediction about TRS government collapsing will turn into reality or not, their observation about TRS MLAs unhappiness may be justified, because no one else except KCR and his three family members have any voice in his government. KCR virtually creates an impression in the people that Telangana government means nothing but KCR and no one else. Obviously, it may lead to unrest in the party in the future.

Court rejects bail to Jayalalitha

  In a quite unexpected way, Karnataka High Court rejects Jayalalitha’s bail petition. Actually, her party leaders, workers and her followers in the state have started celebrating her release after hearing the news about public prosecutor reportedly agreed to grant her conditional bail. Even media reports that court has granted conditional bail to her, but the High Court announcing its verdict said it couldn’t see any strong reason to grant her bail.   Obviously, her followers may sharply react to the court verdict. So, police in Bangalore city and back in Tamilnadu were put on high alert to handle any untoward incidents. Since, the High Court rejects her bail petition, she have to stay in jail till her lawyer files bail petition again in Supreme Court and the apex court take-up her petition for hearing. Probably, it may take a week or ten days’ time to complete this process.

Posters create panic situation

  While, Karnataka High Court take-up the bail petition filed by Jayalalitha, some posters in the name of an AIADMK leader appears in several places in Bangalore with a warning message to Kannada people. It was written that if Jayalalitha is not given bail today, Kannada people living in Tamilnadu will be taken as hostages.   Obviously, the posters creates havoc among the political circles. AIADMK party immediately declares that it has nothing to do with the posters or the person who put them. It stated it is handy work of expelled leader of the party. Karnataka police immediately removed the posters. Bangalore Police commissioner said there is no need to be panic with the posters, as police forces in both states are capable to handle any untoward situation.   Karnataka High Court is going to give its verdict on Jayalalitha’s bail petition anytime from now. So, high tense situation prevails at the court and jail surroundings. Therefore, large number of police forces was deployed in both places. Karnataka government has seized its boarders with Tamilnadu from today morning as a precautionary measure.

Do not politicize Swachcha Bharat: Venkaiah

  Soon before Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Swachcha Bharat program on October 2nd on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi, Congress party claims that he is straight away lifting its programs implemented during UPA-1&2 regimes. Former finance minister Chidambaram said it is nothing but ‘Nirmal Abhiyaan’ that was launched during UPA regime by his party. Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi also flays Modi government for lifting her UPA government’s programs and schemes.   M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Urban Development responding to Congress claims on this particular program said, ‘Actually, this program was launched by us taking inspiration from father of the nation Mahatma Gandhiji’s small statement made at Ahmedabad some 100 years ago. Then he stated our Indians litter the public places. He stressed to maintain clean and tidy atmosphere in our surroundings.   So, our government takes this as big challenge and launched this massive operation of cleaning the whole country. We will continue this program till 2019, October 2nd and show the world we can achieve anything if determined. Hence, I appeal all the political parties not to politicize this issue, instead take part in this great mission. I also request celebrities of movie and sports sections to take lead in the mission so as to inspire the people.”

Did Modi forget Pawan Kalyan?

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked Amir Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Kamal Hassan, Priyanka Chopra and few other celebrities to be the brand ambassadors of his Swachcha Bharat program and they happily agreed to take part of his mission. However, Modi seems forgot to ask power star Pawan Kalyan, the first person from the state who boldly announced his support to him and his BJP. He played crucial role in the victory of NDA alliance candidates in the general elections. Narendra Modi has seen how he enjoys the fan following in the state and what his influence on the people is. But, somehow he missed to utilize his services that could make a big difference. Pawan Kalyan also remains silent and not made any comments on this program. However, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu can invite him to take part to make this massive program a grand success.

Chandrababu is success where KCR fails

  Ministers in Telangana government are seen blaming previous governments for present power crisis in the state. Of course, CM KCR may be taking corrective measures to improve the situation, but he is asking the people to wait for at least three years to overcome this problem.   In fact, Andhra Pradesh state was also in same situation, when Chandrababu Naidu takes charge as Chief Minister of the state. But, using his influence and good relations with BJP leaders, he managed to overcome this problem just within three months period. People of AP may agree that hardly there are any power cuts now in the state.   CM KCR also can adopt the same policy of Chandrababu, but he spared his time to cross swords with Centre and also with Chandrababu Naidu over many known issues. Even if, KCR join hands with Chandrababu Naidu, probably he could help him bail out of this situation, but he rather prefers to continue enmity with him. As a result, Telangana state is unable to get external help. However, Chandrababu should pressurize the central government to grant additional power supply and uninterrupted power supply pilot project to Telangana state also.

Shift Jaya to Tamilnadu: CPI

  Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda has suggested the Karnataka state government to stress the courts to shift Jayalalitha from Bangalore jail to Tamilnadu jail keeping in view of security, law and order situation arising out of AIADMK party workers staging dharnas and protests in the city. He opined that state government need not to face this nuisance.   D Pandian, a CPI leader from Tamilnadu also opines the same. He said if anything serious happens to Jayalalitha during her stay in Bangalore jail, it will create rift between people of two states. So, irrespective of court’s verdict and consequent court proceedings, courts should transfer her back to Tamilnadu jail immediately to avert further complications, taking a suo-motu decision on her case. He opined that higher courts can decide whether the special court’s verdict is correct or not. But, in the meantime, she shouldn’t be kept in Bangalore jail, he said.

Jagan may face life-time imprisonment: Ashok Gajapathi

  Union Minister for civil aviation, Ashok Gajapathi Raju has made interesting comments on YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy. During a party meeting held at Sitarampuram in Srikakulam district yesterday, referring to Jayalalitha’s case said, “If a person convicted with 4 years jail term and was levied Rs.100 crores fine for indulging in corrupt practices that is around Rs. 60 crores, persons involved in lakhs of crores of corrupt cases may get a life time imprisonment.”

Five Lakh fresh applications received for pensions

  The ruling TDP government has increased pensions to aged, widows and handicapped persons to Rs.1000-1500 from October 2nd implementing its elections promise. Nevertheless, it would be additional burden on the cash strapped AP government. However, it decides to go ahead with its plans to preserve its elections-promise.   However, state government has received 5,23,000 fresh applications for pensions from all over the state, after it increases the pension amount. Out of them 43,900 applications are from Krishna district, said state principal secretary IYR Krishna rao. The list of the fresh applicants has been placed in the AP state government web site. After scrutinizing the applicants, pensions will be granted to the eligible candidates, he said.   If so, the state government which is desperately looking for alternative revenue sources to clear the crop loans, will find its problems are multiplied with these fresh applications. Evidently, this number will keep growing every year. So, either it has to transfer the burden back to people by levying fresh taxes or speed-up industrial development to generate new revenue sources. However, government has to create a permanent revenue sources and mechanism specifically to meet this ever growing demand.

Send Jayalalitha back to TN state: Deva Gouda

  Former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu state Jayalalitha’s presence in Bangalore jail becomes very embarrassing for Karnataka government, as her AIADMK party workers and leaders in large number are hanging around jail and the court premises making protests for her arrest. It becomes very difficult for the Karnataka government to ensure security to the MLAs and Ministers of ruling AIADMK government of Tamilnadu state, who are frequenting her.   Hence, former Prime Minister HD Deva Gouda asked the state government to ask the court to shift her to Tamilnadu, whether she gets bail on Tuesday or not. He asked why Karnataka government should bear all these burden and headaches. Moreover, there is rift between people of both states over sharing of Kaveri River waters. Politicians of Karnataka state fear that AIADMK workers presence around may lead to untoward developments. So, they believe that it is not wise or safe to keep her in the state jail and so suggesting the state government to take necessary steps to move her out of state.

Police Complaint lodged against Singer Jesudas

  A complaint was lodged in the Thiruvananthapuram police station in Kerala today against noted singer Jesudas for his remarks-ladies shouldn’t wear jean pants and have to dress-up in a dignified manner. Several women organizations and Congress party’s women activists have conducted a rally in the city in protest against his remarks. They said they respect him as a great singer, but not his remarks.

Modi and Sonia begin fresh battle in Maharashtra

  The upcoming Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections slated for October 15th brings Congress party president Sonia Gandhi back into battle ground. As usually, she spits fire on Modi government and got a fitting reply from him instantly.   She asked what his government did during four months of ruling. “Modi has promised to bring back black money from foreign countries, but he couldn’t. He promised to bring down the prices of commodities, but he couldn’t. He is speaking like as if nothing was done during last 60 years rule in the country and he is going to change everything overnight. But, he is doing nothing except hijacking UPA government’s schemes and programs,” alleges Sonia Gandhi.   Modi in his elections campaigning in Beed Loksabha constituency in Maharashtra state, responding to Congress Chief’s criticism said “They ruled the country for almost 60 years and did nothing except spreading corruption all over the country. But, they are asking accounts for our four months ruling. Let me show them what a government can do in five years period if it has honesty and dedication towards the nation.   “During Congress-NCP ruling in the state, 3700 farmers have committed suicides. Soon after we take charge at Centre, we have proposed several ambitious plans like bullet rail between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, smart cities, industrial parks development etc. Our government is trying to tap the foreign resources by strengthening bilateral relations with China, Japan, USA and other countries. So, it is necessary to extend BJP arm to Maharashtra to ensure a speedy development. So, I appeal the people to give a clear mandate in favor of BJP,” said Modi.

Centre to release funds to AP soon

  Four months are over but so far Modi government has not released a single rupee to Andhra Pradesh state, despite serious efforts by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers for the same. However, their efforts mat yield fruitful results very soon, says Ms Nirmala Sitaraman Union Minister of Commerce.   While taking part in in ‘Swachcha Bharat’ program conducted by CM Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada two days ago, she said Centre may start releasing funds for AP state beginning from October 15th. She reiterates her government’s interest to grant special status to the state. She promised the people of the state, being their daughter-in-law and representative in Rajyasabha, she will do her best to help the state in all aspects.   So, one can believe that definitely Centre is going release the funds to state anytime after October 15th because the announcement comes from none other than Union Minister for Commerce. However, it is learnt that special status to the state may take few more months’ time as the existing planning commission was abolished a new mechanism is to replace it soon.

Telangana, Assembly sessions from Oct.20th

  It seems finally Telangana government is prepared to summon budget sessions of state Assembly from October 20th. The delay takes place as CM KCR is not happy with the routine budget proposals and allocations submitted by the officials of various ministries. He opined it should be a tailor-made budget to suit the newly born Telangana state requirements. Hence, fresh proposals and allocations have been made in the budget.   Probably, these budget sessions may continue for 20-25 days at least starting from October 20th. Since, Telangana government has not waived off the crop loans until now, opposition parties may grab this issue to corner ruling TRS government in the upcoming Assembly sessions. Besides there are several other issues like the ban continuing on the two media channels, implementation of elections promises etc. may turn weapons for opposition parties.

Tragic end to Dushera festival

  Patna city witnesses a tragic end to Dushera festival. Thirty-two people killed and at least 15 are seriously injured in the stampede that broke out at Gandhi Maidhan in Bihar’s capital Patna yesterday evening shortly after traditional Ravan Vadh celebrations ended. Most of the victims are women and children. This tragic incident happens in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manji, who also came to watch Ravan effigy burning festival. The rumors about live electric wire falling on the ground have led to the stampede and took lives of 32 people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock and grief for the tragic incident. He granted Rs. 2 lakh each for the next of those killed.

Is she doesn’t need to abide by law of the land?

  The latest news is AIADMK party MPs from Tamilnadu state are planning to sit for a one-day-fasting near Gandhi statue in the Parliament premises on October 10th demanding justice to their leader. They are fuming on the court for adjourning her bail petition case to next Tuesday. They believe that she is very honest and clean but has been trapped into the case by her rivals’ conspiracy. So, they demand for her early release and justice to her. Even Kollywood film industry also staged one day fasting in Chennai demanding justice to her. Their arguments makes one believe that she is above the law of the land and she doesn’t need to abide by them and the courts.
