Unknown Persons Attack JR.NTR Office

Jr NTR Office Attacked: Young tiger NTR's filmnagar office has been attacked and defaced by unidentified persons yesterday mid-night. As reported, the mob has pelted big stones and destroyed the furniture including a vehicle parked over there with sticks. No one were present at the office and the mob has slipped off within no time, says reports . So far, there is no official statement from Jr NTR's office on this incident. The present state of politics might be the reason behind this attack, says sources. Couple of days ago, NTR has addressed the press in the same office on his close aide Kodali Nani's political move.

Who is Right: Nani or Rajendraprasad?

There has been a lot of hullaballoo going on for the past couple of days since Gudivada TDP MLA Kodali Nani quit the party to join the YSR Congress Party. Not only TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu instantly suspended Nani from the party, but also termed him a backstabber. Naidu even described Nani's act as political prostitution and alleged that the later has sold himself to Jagan Mohan Reddy for 30 crore rupees. Babu asked his party leaders to revolt against and thrash people like Nani, who desert the party for their personal gains. On Wednesday, Nani too retaliated and said that he didn't leave the party on his own, but was necked out of it. He questioned Babu whether Telugu Desam Party was his 'father's property' and how can he suspend him without giving a chance to explain why he met Jagan in Chanchalguda jail. Nani said that he would approach the court about his suspension from TDP. Nani too called Naidu a backstabber and recalled the incident when Chandrababu Naidu necked out late NTR and took into hands reins of the party. In this backdrop, NTV channel arranged for a vis-a-vis teleconference between  TDP senior leader and MLC Rajendraprasad and Kodali Nani. Kodali Nani Attacks Chandrababu Naidu

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Nani said he had not left TDP, but was necked out. He has alleged that Naidu was driving out all the loyalists of late N T Rama Rao, founder of the party, so that he could bring his son Lokesh into politics and give the reins of the party to him. Questioning why he was suspended, he said it was atrocious that he was not even asked for an explanation before being sent out. He said he would go to court on the matter. He has also demanded an apology from Naidu for sending him out without even serving a show cause notice.     Denying the charge that he has received a package of Rs. 30 cr. for joining the YSR Congress from Jagan, Nani said he would swear on his two daughters Vijaya Durga and Kanaka Durga that he had not taken even a single rupee. He has questioned the TDP leaders who were leveling that charge, if they brokered between him and Jagan to finalize that deal. In fact, it was Naidu who has sold Rajya Sabha tickets for Rs. 300 crore, he has added. He has also questioned Naidu how much he had received for sending his brother into the Congress party. Nani has also said that Jagan had leadership qualities and he had no objection to work with him. If it was money that mattered to him, he would have joined the Congress party when YSR was alive, Nani added. He said Naidu had fallen on the feet of NTR and hopped from Congress to TDP. However, he has backstabbed the great leader later to become the Chief Minister and Naidu’s pet dogs were now hounding out NTR loyalists, Nani has alleged. Stating that he had come into the TDP as he treated late NTR as God, he said it was Hari Krishna who was responsible for his political career, and Jr. NTR who fought with the party chief and got him TDP ticket twice from Gudivada. He said he had redeemed his debt to the two, by winning the seat twice. Nani said it was because of his love for NTR and the Nandamuri family that he remained in TDP and not because of Naidu. Referring to the claim of TDP leaders that Naidu was a great leader, Nani has questioned why of the 17 tickets issued by him in Krishna district in 2009, only two won the assembly elections. He said he won the elections only because of his own strength and not because of Naidu.

Tara Chowdary Discloses Names of VIP Clients

Talking to a Telugu TV channel on Tuesday evening, Tara chowdary disclosed several names of VIP clients. Not mentioning the name, obviously referring to guntur congress MP Rayapati Samba Siva Rao, she said ‘That MP’ has asked for some girls to do massage to him. She said she sent some girls to him. She has also mentioned the names of one MLA and several police officers, who sought sexual favours from her or asked her to send girls. She said several people got ‘favours’ from her using her weakness for making it big in films as an actress. Stating that she had not done any wrong, she has blamed that ‘they’ made her a scapegoat, by forcing her commit wrong things. She said she has quit the film industry when she realized that it was not a bed of roses. Stating that she has received several phone calls from ‘that MP’ and his followers during 2008 and 2009, she said she was threatened and they even tried to kill her.   Releasing a call list, she said she was ready to face any punishment if her call list was proved wrong. Replying questions, she said she only saw TDP leader Revanth Reddy on TV and never met him. Likewise when asked about Jogu Ramanna, she said she did not even know him.

Another Shock to TDP in Krishna District

Just a day after TDP’s legislator Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani) has left the party, party’s Politburo member and Dalit leader Uppuleti Kalpana has also decided to join the YSR Congress party. While Nani’s decision showed that the powerful Kamma community that has always been backing TDP, was no longer sure of its future in the party, Kalpana’s departure shows the erosion the party’s dalit base.   Kalpana was also hastily suspended by the TDP leadership on late Tuesday night, after it was known that she has met the YSR Congress MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy.   Kalpana who has unsuccessfully contested to the assembly twice on TDP ticket (from Nidumolu and Pamarru in 2004 and 2009 respectively) has apparently come to the decision that she had no future if she stuck to the TDP. As she happens to be a powerful dalit leader, the TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu has made her member of the Politburo, the highest policy making body of his party, despite her two consecutive defeats. She also continued to be in-charge of the Pamarru assembly

Followers of Kodali Nani, TDP Clash in Gudivada

Telugu Desam Party meeting held at Gudivada to discuss aftermath effects of local TDP MLA Kodali Nani joining the YSR Congress party has turned in to a fiasco. The meeting was presided over by Machilipatnam TDP MP Konakalla Konakalla Narayana Rao and was attended by both Nani's followers and TDP loyalists along with the district leaders. When Krishna district TDP general Secretary started speaking against defected MLA Kodali Nani, one of his follwers Arjunudu obstructed the secretary's speech. This enraged TD loyalists and they chased away Nani followers from the meeting. Even after thrown out of the meeting hall, Nani followers gathered in front of the meeting venue and protested against party for allaging that their leader has sold himself to YSRCP. This led to a clash between the TD leaders and Nani followers. Thereafter police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Sunil Gavaskar Birthday: Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar turned 63 years on Tuesday. Before Sachin Tendulkar entered the international era, Gavaskar was India's greatest batsman sound technique and flawless batting style which made him India's most dependable batsman and his wicket one of the prized ones for the bowlers. Even in his last Test match he scored 96 against Pakistan in March 1987.   He has been involved in various roles with the BCCI after retiring from cricket and even served as the Chairman of the ICC cricket committee. He lead India on several occasions in 1970s and 1980s.

TDP MLA Kodali Nani Suspended From Party

Gudiwada TDP MLA Kodali Nani today met YS Vijayalakshmi and was immediately suspended from the Telugu Desam Party. It has been speculated for the past few days that Nani’s jump to YSRCP was imminent and his meet with YSRCP’s president YS Vijayalakshmi today confirmed his move. He is also expected to meet Jagan in jail soon. Nani however refused to talk to the press after meeting Vijayalakshmi and is set to inform his decision in the evening or tomorrow.   There is also some speculation that there are more MLAs in the Krishna district who will follow Nani to join YSRCP. Nuziveedu MLA is on top of this list and Vijayawada urban TDP President Vallabaneni Vamsi might also follow him. Nani is close to Junior NTR having produced two of his films and this move is definitely expected to be a major inconvenience to him.

Jagan Mohan Reddy Moves Supreme Court

YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday moved the Supreme Court for bail in the disproportionate assets case after the Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed his petition last week. While Mr Jagan Reddy has challenged the High Court’s July 4 verdict on at least 19 grounds, his main focus centres on the alleged “misuse” of CBI due to “political reasons”. Alleging that the CBI “failed to show a shred of proof” against him, the petition says he had fully cooperated with the investigators before arrest.

Junior NTR Clarification on Kodali Nani Quitting TDP

Film actor and grandson of Telugu Desam founder late NT Ramarao, junior NTR gave clarifications about his close friend Kodali Nani quitting TDP to join YSR Congress Party. Speaking to the media, he said that he doesn't have any sort of differences either with the Telugu Desam Party or his family members as is being alleged for some time now. He strongly condemned the same and said that he will remain with the party as long as he lives. Junior NTR said "It is a wellknown fact that Kodali Nani is close to me. It is his sole decision to leave TDP and I have no say in it. It is not proper that I have planned and engineered the defection due to some frictions within my family and the party. It is not at all true, I have no frictions or misunderstandings with my family nor the party. The reason for my keeping distance with party affairs all these days is purely because of my professional preoccupation. I'm just 28 years old now and think I am not of the age to enter politics, neither I have any intention as such in near future. But, whenever my services are required for the party, I will be there to render them. My profession, acting in films, is paramount to me... it's my bread and butter. I don't think at 28 I have the expertise to enter active politics and I'm also not certain if I have it in future. I want to make it clear once for all that I have no problems whatsoever with my family or the party. I have nothing to do with Kodali Nani quitting the party to join YSRCP."

Kodali Nani Meets Vijayamma: Suspended From TDP

Gudivada Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Kodali Nani met this morning (09-07-12) YSR Congress Party honorary president Smt. YS Vijayalaxmi, raising curtain over the suspense pertaining to his joining the YSRCP. As an instant response, the TDP announced that Nani has been suspended from the party with immediate effect. MLA Kodali Nani is a two time winner on TDP ticket from Gudivada constituency in Krishna district and is considered very close to junior NTR, the film-actor grandson of late NT Ramarao who founded the Telugu Desam Party. Nani has been sending signals for the past two months that he is going to part ways with TDP, fearing the party's almost certain debacle in the coming 2014 elections. He also toyed with the thought to join Congress party but finally decided to switch over to YSRCP a couple of days ago. Quoting his close associates, the media also reported that on assurance of YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that he will give Nani not only the party ticket for Gudivada seat, but also will bear the election expenses, the later has finally decided to join the YSRCP today. TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu tried twice earlier to convince Nani to remain in the party, but Nani was reluctant. Now on getting the news that Nani has met Vijayamma this morning, TDP has immediately announced that he has been suspended with immediate effect from the party, as in the case of Mysoora Reddy earlier.

All the speculations have come to rest with Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda is most likely to resign on Sunday itself after meeting with BJP President Nitin Gadkari. B S Yeddyurappa's loyalist and Rural Development Minister Jagdish Shettar will take over the reins as the next Chief Minister of the state.     He will meet party President Nitin Gadkari on Sunday after which the decision will be announced. Jaitley said the entire political situation in the state was discussed during over two-and-a-half hour meeting. "After the Chief Minister meets the party president, whatever the party's Core Group and the Parliamentary Board has discussed and decided, after consultations with the Chief Minister, will be announced tomorrow morning," Jaitley said.

According to reliable sources, Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani is all set to bid goodbye to Telugu Desam Party. Though he didn't announce his decision as yet, his close associates say that it is almost decided that he would resign from the party and also from assembly on 9 or 18th of this month and would join YSR Congress Party along with his followers. Media reports say that Nani will meet Jagan Mohan Reddy tomorrow (8 July 2021) in Chanchalguda and formally announce his decision. Incidentally, tomorrow happens to be late YS Rajasekhar Reddy's 63rd Jayanthi. Hectic parlays have been going on at Hyderabad for the past one week in this direction. Kodali Nani's close associates have been in constant touch with YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently in Chanchalguda jail facing CBI charges of disproportionate aseets. According to sources, Jagan asked Nani to resign from both TDP and also from assembly. But Nani was reluctant to vacate his seat as he will have to face elections twice, immediate bypoll and later in 2014. That was the reason for Nani dilly-dallying all these days, say the sources. Now it is said that Nani got a pucca assurance from Jagan that the later would not only make him YSRCP candidate for both the elections, but also will take care of the entire expenditure. This has finally made Nani to decide leaving TDP and join YSRCP. Owner of a Hyderabad based corporate educational institution has played a crucial role in negotiating between Jagan and Nani, told the sources.  

TDP MLA Son Caught With Drugs in Uppal

A TDP MLA's son and a Municipal Commissioner's son were caught smoking ganja at Municipal Grounds in Uppal, Hyderabad. One of them was reportedly TDP MLA Satyavathi Rathod's son Sunil Rathod and the other one was Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner's son Abhijit. The duo also had some narcotic drugs in their possession, told the police. A case has been booked against both of them and will be produced in the court.        

Jagan Case: Court Permits ED to Grill Jagan

Nampally CBI Court on Friday gave permission to the Enforcement Directorate to grill YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproprtionate assets case. The court directed the ED to conduct Jagan's interrogation in the jail only. The Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail facing CBI charges of large scale corruption through investments brought into his businesses. The CBI had alleged that several businessmen have invested huge amounts in Jagan's companies on quid-pro-quo basis when his father late YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister. Most of these investments were routed through foreign countires in to the companies and now ED wants to question him in this regard.   

Police Raid on Gambling Den: Prominent Persons Arrested

The Banjara Hills police in Hyderabad conducted a surprise raid on an apartment in Film Nagar and arrested several prominent persons, who were playing cards. The arrested persons include D Ravindar, the brother of Minister Danam Nagendar and a TDP leader M Ravindranath Reddy alias BTech Ravi, who had contested and lost against smt. YS Vijayalaxmi from Pulivendula assembly constitution in 2009. The police, acting on a tip-off, raided the place around 8 pm on Thursday. The cops caught 26 people red-handed while playing cards using cash and seized an amount of 21.88 lakhs and 28 cellphones from them. Cases of gambling have been booked against them and they will produced in the court today.
