Don’t fall prey to KCR tricks: Ponguleti

KCR’s meetings and his proposals to party MPs irks fellow Congress leaders. Senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar has asked his colleagues not to fall prey to KCR’s mind games. He asked “Who is KCR to give deadlines to our leaders and to our party high command? Is he thinks that he is the hero of Telangana region or does he possess patent rights on Telangana issue? He is talking as if all the politicians are traitors if not agree to follow him. I appeal my fellow Congress leaders not to be absorbed into his tricks. Being seniors of the party leaders like Keshav rao would have kept him at distance, but they seem start believing him than their own party.” But, Minister DK Aruna has reacted quite oppositely to him. She said “Whoever wants to leave the party, better to do it earliest. We couldn’t implement the welfare schemes announced by the government due to these leaders. If. They can leave immediately, we can start our programs and revamp the party.” Manda Jagannadham is quite upset and angry to hear saying so. He said she is the one, who is making loss to the party in her constituency. He doesn’t need her suggestions on when to leave the party, said Manda.

Rahul Gandhi has summoned the CM and the PCC president to Delhi to deliberate on the Telangana MP's Joining TRS issue and the issue of home minister Sabita Indra Reddy who was included in YS Jagan's Illegal assets case Chargesheet by CBI. Also Rahul Gandhi was expected to discuss with Botsa Satyanarayana on one-man-one-post policy as Botsa Satyanarayana is PCC Chief and also state transport minister. The sources are that change of PCC chief. While Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to seek the high command's permission for the cabinet re-shuffle.

T-Cong. Leaders in dilemma

Senior Congress leader K.Keshav rao is the next target for KCR, who these days is throwing ticket-baits to Telangana Congress leaders. They had a close door meeting at his residence yesterday for 2 hours and as a result KK talks in favor of KCR and his party. He said “KCR has been inviting me into TRS for a long time to strengthen the Telangana agitations. Today also he came on same purpose. I am interested to work with anyone, who fights for Telangana.” Hence, it is to be understood that KK is ready to leave the Congress party, with which he is associated for more than 3 decades and join TRS. If, he is so keen to leave the Congress party he would have announced the same immediately, to please his new boss KCR. But, KK has just made a favorable statement only, because he too like any others doesn’t want to join TRS, because of KCR’s arrogant and monarch attitude. But, when they are not sure about the tickets in the party, then they have no other option but have to join TRS. As a last minute efforts, they are letting the news fall in their party high command’s ears hoping that it may come forward offering them party tickets. That’s why still they are asking for time to take a decision of joining TRS party. But KCR, who too understood their idea, about their fears and dilemma is pressurizing to commit to him. He knew that if they were assured of party tickets by their high command, then it will be impossible to convince them at all. Hence, he may keep pressurizing them until they join his party. Hence, it is merely a game of party tickets and not Telangana issue anyway as described by them. Incase if, KCR won’t offer them party tickets and asks them to strengthen his Telangana agitations, definitely he may not even able to get their appointment to have such a long meetings.

KCR sets deadline to Cong. Leaders

TRS president KCR has recently formed elections committee headed by Nayani Narasimha Reddy and it will announce the first list of party candidates for the next general elections by end of next month. His party is also gearing upto hold a 12th formation day of the party on April 27th at Armoor in which only party candidates will participate. Hence, he hints the Telangana Congress and TDP party leaders that if they are keen to join TRS, then they have to hurry otherwise their concerned constituency tickets will be given to some others who are keen to contest on TRS behalf. So, he virtually sets a deadline to Congress and TDP leaders to decide whether to join him or not. If, they agrees to join him he will welcome them otherwise will brand them as Telangana traitors and start targeting them from the other day. He even takes initiative in meeting Congress leaders Mandha Jagannadham and K. Keshav rao personally and seems convinced them join TRS party. According to reports, they have asked him 3-4 days time to decide on their stand. But, the million dollar question is can he convince them all the Telangana leaders?

PB Srinivas passes away

Noted play back singer Pratiwadhi Bayankar Srinivas popularly known as PB Srinivas (83) died on Sunday morning at his home in Chennai due to cardiac arrest. PB was born to Phanidra Swamy and Seshagiriyamma couple in Kakinada, East Godavari district on 22nd September, 1930. He has sung many songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages in 200 films. He fluently speaks in all the south Indian languages and in English, Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu languages. He is also known lyricist and used to write at least one song a day in his dairy, which he used to keep with him. Although, he sings for many Telugu films, his main contribution goes to Kannada and Tamil films. He sung many songs to noted Kannada actor Raj Kumar and to Gemini Ganeshan. He was survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter. Except one son, all others are settled in Chennai. His last rituals may take place tomorrow at Chennai after his son arrives from Hyderabad. People from the southern film industries start flowing into Chennai to pay their last respects to this singing legend.

Tollywood actress Anjali dropping curtains to her 5day missing suspense story has appeared before the police on Friday night and talked to media on the next day. “I am forced to go underground due to some unavoidable situations. Lots of things happened during these five days. Now, my life and career is in my hand. Now, I will concentrate on career. I will attend film shootings from Monday onwards and complete all my commitments. I am aware that my absent to film shootings has created lots of problems to the concerned producers and film units. I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience. I assure that I will complete my job as agreed before. I am very much thankful to those who extend their support to me in times of need. I thank my film industry people, media, family members and friends for standing by me. I appeal the media to extend their support in future also,” said Anjali to media on Saturday at Hyderabad. Although, she is stating that she has been to Mumbai all these days, according to reports she has taken shelter with a Telugu film producer at Hyderabad only.

Finance Minister Anam Rami Narayana Reddy’s harsh remarks against late YSR and his family members has become focus point in the media and political circles. Congress party, which until now is in dilemma whether to own or disown its former CM late YSR and his reputation, seems finally comes out of its confusing state and decided to disown him, in wake of CBI filing charge sheets against its ministers. Hence, soon after Anam lashes at him and his family members many of the ministers have come in his support and tried to project late YSR as the mastermind behind all the scams that traps the ministers now in CBI cases. The Congress party, which was proud of him earlier is trying to transfer entire blame on to him merely to save its skin. YSR Congress party has grabbed the same point and launches fresh attacks on Congress party. Fortunately, Anam Jaya Rami Reddy brother of Rami Narayana Reddy has comes to its help, who also find fault with his brother’s statements against late YSR and his family members. Jagan owned Sakshi media has brings him forth to defend from Congress ministers attacks and to highlight the double standards of Congress party. Anam acknowledges our allegations: TDP

Finance Minister Anam Rami Narayana Reddy has stated yesterday that Jagan Mohan Reddy is managing his party and politics from Chanchalguda jail itself. His statement gives a perfect weapon to corner ruling Congress party for TDP. It even loaded the TDP guns to fire at Chanchalguda jail Superindent B.Saidayya, who challenges TDP to prove its allegations and warned to take legal action if repeats its allegations against him. TDP MLC Enamala Rama Krishnudu has said “Anam Rami Narayana Reddy’s statement has just acknowledged our allegations. We have been complaining that the jail officials are treating Jagan Mohan Reddy like prince and providing all the facilities to him in the Chanchalguda jail. But, government has not responded to our complaints, because CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is the one who ensures proper care of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the jail. Hence, we once again demand the government to immediately change the jail Superindent Saidayya and treat Jagan Mohan Reddy like any other political prisoners.” Enamala also demands for the resignation of all the accused ministers. He said YSR Congress party is going to be defeated like BSR party launched by former CM of Karnataka state Edyurappa in the forth coming elections.

Why the Ministers spared asks Sharmila

YSR Congress party leader Sharmila, during her Maro Prasthanam padayatra at Nujiveedu in Krishna district, has shot a straight question to Kiran Kumar Reddy government. She asked when Jagan Mohan Reddy can influence the witnesses if given bail, then why is the government not arresting its ministers who were charge sheeted by CBI in the same cases of her brother. Why it is letting its ministers roam free, who also may influence the witnesses. She alleges that both Congress and TDP have join hands in conspiring against her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy. She blamed both of them for the present crisis in the state. Her remarks may create immense pressure on Kiran Sarkar, as it has no explanation to offer to her. More over, the opposition parties also have intensified their demand for expulsion of Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and others, from the cabinet, who were charge sheeted by the CBI. The beleaguered government is desperately looking towards New Delhi to know its decision on this case. Sonia Gandhi, who will be returning to New Delhi today, may take-up this issue on priority bases. Whatever decision she may takes, it is going to impact the state politics. If, she asks Kiran to expel Sabita Indra Reddy from his cabinet, it will pave way for others too. If, she prefers to back her and change her portfolio then, it will be an indication that Congress party wants to deal Jagan’s issues and its ministers’ issues separately. In such case, opposition parties including YSRCP may further intensify their attacks on Congress party. Especially, YSRCP may spearhead with the attacks, if it believes that its President Jagan Mohan Reddy’s release from jail is not in the vicinity.

ED judgment to affect Jagan’s bail petition case

ED court has given its nod for attaching Rs. 884 crores worth properties of OMC and Brahmani Steels owned by Gali Janardhan Reddy. The court opines that he has played over smart by creating two corporate companies to handle all his illegal mining activities. Hence the court gave permission to ED for attaching Rs. 884 crores worth properties of his both companies, in its judgment given on Friday. Although, the ED Court’s verdict doesn’t affects Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case, the interlink between the two cases due to his father late YS Rajashekar Reddy and his government officials involvement may impact on his bail petition filed in Supreme Court yesterday. CBI may evidently highlight the ED verdict and may raise objections on his bail. If, the court believes that there is an interlink between these two cases, which fall in same category Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail likely to be rejected.

Revant intensifies attacks on Nagarjuna

TDP senior leader Revant Reddy has intensified his attacks on Tollywood actor Nagarjuna and the government over land encroachment case of Nag’s ‘N Convention.’ He demands Nagarjuna to reveal all the property documents related to this site and also their Annapoorna Studios land. He criticized Nag for not responding to his allegations by stating the case is in the court. He asked the concerned officials, whether they have any responsibility in protecting the government lands and if so, why they let Nag encroach the Tammidi Lake and construct his ‘N Convention’ on it. He asked the city commissioner when his staff can swings into action on road side shop keepers, then how did they failed to stop Nagarjuna occupying the government lands. Revant Reddy also condemns Nag’s statement of campaigning for Arogyasri scheme. He said Nag has just returned the favors that he received from YSR government during year 2007. Revant Reddy is probably fuming on Nagarjuna because he might have planned to acquire the same lands as they were just beside his lands near Madhapur in Hyderabad, but failed, where as Nag could lay his hands on it with late YSR support. However, the case is in the court.

Anjali returns to Hyderabad

Tollywood actress Anjali, who disappears from her hotel room on Friday last, has come to Jubilee Hills police station around yesterday midnight and gave her statement to DCP Sudheer Babu of Hyderabad west zone. She was accompanied by a person, but his identity was not revealed by either her or by the police. She states “I am not kidnapped by anyone. I went to Mumbai to take rest as I am disturbed with some family problems. I am not in a position to talk to media. I returned to city as I have to attend film shootings. I will attend my film shootings from tomorrow.” DCP Sudheer Babu also stated the same and said that they have recorded her statement and submits their report to court today. Later, Anjali has to be presented before Madras High Court as the court has orders the Chennai police to present her before it with in two weeks, responding to a petition filed by her aunt Bharati.

Nayini is election committee in-charge of TRS

The crucial TRS party meeting was just concluded. TRS president KCR briefing about the minutes of the meeting has said “TRS has unanimously has passed a resolution appointing Nayani Narasimha Reddy as the election committee in-charge. His team will finalize the names of the party candidates for upcoming elections. TRS has decided not to make any poll alliance with any party, as the survey reports are indicating a clean sweep for the party in the next elections. It was decided that party 12th formation day will be grandly celebrated at Armoor, where a public meeting will be on April 27th. Party will announce the 1st list of the candidates before end of May. Varada Reddy has been inducted into party polit bureau to avail his services to the party.

Navjot Singh Sidhu spins Rajnath Singh

Former cricketer and BJP MP from Amritsar has clean bowled his party president Rajnath Singh with his spin message delivered through his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu. Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is fuming on the party high command for dropping him from the newly formed office bearers team, has played it very well by letting his wife Kaur tweet against the party. She tweets “Sidhu, who feel humiliated and upset for being ignored and sidelined by the party high command has decided not to contest from Amritsar in the next elections.” It precisely stumped the party president Rajnath Singh. He called-upon Sidhu and asked him to meet him, so as they can discuss and solve the issues if any. But, Sidhu said he will be able to meet him only after IPL matches as he has commitments for it. But, there are some other reasons behind his decision of not contesting in the elections. Actually, he want to contest from some other constituency but not from his Amritsar constituency, as he is facing some problems with his party cadres. Since, he become very busy with several commercial activities, the BJP cadre in Amritsar is quite unhappy with his absence. Some of them even complained against him to party high command, which may lead to his dropping from the office bearers team. Sidhu is also having problems with his rival Akali Dal leaders- Sukhbir Singh Badal and minister Bikramjit Singh Majithaia, who also represents Amritsar constituency. Hence, next time he wants to contest from other constituency than his present Amritsar constituency. So, is his spin message that stumped his party president Rajnath Singh. Indeed, Sidhu played it very well.

Academies to provide employment for politicians

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has promised to revive various cultural academies during the World Telugu Conventions held at Tirupati few months ago has ordered for the same on the eve of Ugadi festival. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has described reviving the Academies as Ugadi gift to the Telugu people. Music, Literary, Dance, Drama and several other academies were winded-up during late NTR’s regime as they all failed to serve its purpose. Ever since, the Central Academy also has stopped granting any funds to these academies as they were no more in existence. Narla Venkateswara rao committee which was formed during NTR’s regime to study the necessity of continuing the academies has recommended to wind-up all the committees, as all of they have failed to serve its purpose due to several reasons and underlines that they have turned into political employment centers. Hence, late NTR has abolished all the academies and created Telugu Vijnana Peetham in year 1983, which was intended to put efforts for the development of Telugu language, culture and arts etc. But, it also fails to serve its purpose due to political leaders’ involvement. The same is expected to repeat even now as there are several political leaders in the race to take charge of these upcoming academies. Many of them have begun lobbying, soon after the CM has formally agreed to revive the academies during World Telugu Conventions held at Tirupati. Hence, in wake of upcoming elections these academies may be intended to provide employment to political unemployed and to the 2nd and 3rd rank political leaders and may not serve its purpose.

Can’t speak on land issues: Nag

There are some allegations against Akkineni family owned Annapoorna Studios and ‘N Convention’ lands. Even there are some cases also running in the court on N Convention land disputes. Recently, TDP leader Revant Reddy and Congress leader K.Keshav rao have come heavily on Nagarjuna on the same issues. Instead of responding to their allegations he said that he couldn’t understand why they are targeting him. In his latest interview given to a leading Telugu daily news paper, he gave some clarifications on this issue. He said “My father was asked to shift to Hyderabad by the then CM of the state late Chenna Reddy in an attempt to shift the Telugu film industry from Madras to Hyderabad and our family was shifted to Hyderabad in 1963, when I was a kid. Later, the government has allotted land for constructing our Annapoorna Studios, for which my father has fully paid the amount according to the then government’s prices. He even formed an approach road to our studios with his own money and handed over the same to municipality. We have all the title documents related to this site, which proves our ownership on it,” said Nag. Responding on his ‘N Convention’ land disputes case he said “Cases on this land including Gurukul Trust lands are in the court now . Hence, no one including me can talk about this issue. Once, the court clears the case, I can give clarifications on it.” He said “None of our family members are interested in politics and we have no plans to join politics in future also. We understood that we are not fit for politics. Hence, we prefer to stay away from them. I suggest the same to my sons also. However, if we like any welfare scheme of any government, we have come forward to campaign about it. Earlier, we have worked for ‘Janma Bhoomi’ then campaigned for ‘Arogyasri’ and we are now thinking to campaign on utilizing Solar Energy to overcome the present power crisis in the state. Other than such things we are not interested in politics. We always maintain good relations with all the governments irrelevant of the political parties."

Petition filed against Dharmana in HC

A petition was filed against Minister Dharmana Prasada rao in High Court challenging how he is allowed to work as Minister, while CBI has filed charge sheet against him. Devra, the person who filed the petition has added Minister Dharmana Prasada rao, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and CBI as the opponents in the case.

Mohan babu visits Home Minister Sabita

Veteran actor Dr.Mohan babu and his family members have visited home minister Sabita Indra Reddy today, who is confined to her house after being charge sheeted by the CBI. They spent more than 45 minutes with her. Later, speaking to media Mohan babu said “We are family friends and we thought it is time to extend out moral support to her. We are very sorry for her situation. We do not want to speak about the cases and charge sheets. Although, she has many things to say, she is helpless to spell it out due to certain problems. We hope she will overcome all her problems very soon. As far as we all know about her, she is very clean and honest person. It is Center, where there are so many frauds are sitting. Every other day we are seeing some one name appears in the news papers, come it may be aircrafts scams or some other scams. That’s all what I want I can say now.”
