KTR finds fault with PM Modi for not visiting Telangana

  TRS Government relationship with the Modi Government has never been consistent during last 19 months. Occasionally, it speaks soft and appears to be maintaining strong and good relations with the Centre but quite often draws swords against it. TRS Government’s this love-and-hate relationship has been continuing in a cycle and now it seems is in hate-mode. It was clearly reflected in the latest remarks passed by its Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao.   He said “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never bothered to step into our Telangana state ever since it was formed 19 months ago. He seems to be keen to tour foreign countries rather than in the country. However, we have been waiting for him all these months and will wait further. Let us hope, one day he will definitely visit Telangana state.”   He also criticizes TDP, even though he knew that his father and KCR and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu become friends now. He suggested the people to ask Congress and TDP leaders what good they did for the Telangana state when they were in power for 10 years each. He opined that TDP is going to confine to Andhra Pradesh state only in the near future. In other words, he may be saying that TDP is going to wipe out of the state in the near future.

Is Kejriwal inviting fresh troubles again?

  The row over CBI raids on Delhi Chief Secretary Rajender Kumar’s office few days ago, triggers a fresh battle between Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Kejriwal has been hitting hard at Union Minister in connection with Delhi district Cricket Association scam. Although, Jaitley has been repeatedly condemning his allegations, Kejriwal keep hitting at him. Congress party also joined his fight against Jaitley because he is common enemy for both parties. Hence, Arun Jaitley took extreme step today as the allegations are tarnishing his clean image.   He filed a defamation case worth Rs. 10 crores against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and few others of AAP Government in the Delhi High Court on Monday for making baseless allegations against him over DDCA scam. He filed the petition in his personal status.   CM Arvind Kejriwal sharply reacting on his move said “I welcome it. I am not afraid of such cases instead I appeal Arun Jaitley to cooperate with enquiry committee and prove his innocence in this case. Kejriwal Government has constituted an enquiry committee led by former solicitor general Gopal Subrahmanyam to find out who is involved in this DDCA scam.   Earlier, when Kejriwal made some allegations against Union Minister for surface transport Nithin Gadkari, he also filed defamation case against Kejriwal. Then, Kejriwal opted to go to jail instead of taking bail in that case. After spending nearly two weeks in jail, he took bail following the court advice. So, he may face similar situation once again, if he failed to prove his allegations made against Arun Jaitley. But, this time he may not afford to go to jail as he is Chief Minister of Delhi.

Our hands are tied by Law: Supreme Court on juvenile release

  Supreme Court that takes up a petition filed by Swati Maliwal, the Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) opposing release of juvenile offender of Nirbhaya Case, refusing to stay his release and stated “We share your common concern but our hands are tied by the existing law.   “There is no legislative sanction in the juvenile laws for extending his jail term more than three years period. Hence, though we agree with the common concern of the people, we can’t detain him any further,” said a vacation bench comprising justices A K Goel and U.U. Lalit of Supreme Court on Monday.   Senior advocates Guru Krishnakumar and D. Kamat representing DCW argued that it is not wise to release the juvenile, who had been not reformed during his three years stay in the juvenile home. They also reminds the apex court bench about the intelligence reports, which says that juvenile radicalized during his stay in the home after interacting with another juvenile who found guilty in Delhi High Court bomb blasts case. However, the apex court bench said its hands were tied by law and can’t detain juvenile any further. The apex court dismissed DCW petition and thus cleared the last hurdle for juvenile offender’s freedom.   Juvenile Home officials handed him over to an NGO organization in New Delhi on Sunday. According to juvenile board regulations he will be provided Rs. 10, 000 and necessary assistance for resettlement in his life. According to sources, the NGO organization has been allowed to change his identity proofs including his name for his safety purpose.   Nirbhaya parents and people across the country are strongly condemning his release from juvenile home. Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi said “We have expected justice for my daughter, who was brutally gang raped and murdered. But our government and legal system denied justice to us. We demand the government for amending the juvenile laws immediately to put juvenile offender back in the jail otherwise he may become potential threat for the society.”   DCW Chairperson Swati Malal reacting on the Supreme Court verdict said “It is a black day for women.”

Farmer handed over statue worth Rs.50 crore to AP CM

  Bhaskar Rao, a farmer from Chandarlapadu village in Krishna district found a very precious Panchaloha statue in his agricultural land on December 12th. The gold coated statue is estimated to be worth Rs. 50 crores. However, he did not think to keep it to himself or sell it. He takes pains to go to Hyderabad and met AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at his chamber in the Assembly and hand overs it to him. CM Chandrababu Naidu appreciated him for his honesty.

Sonia, Rahul gets bail in National Herald case

  Patiala House Court grants bail for Congress party President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in National Herald case on Saturday. Besides Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, the court also grants bail Motilaal Vora, Oscar Fernandez and 3 others, who were accused in this case. All of them secured bail after submitting a personal bond worth Rs. 50, 000 for each.   The arguments were completed within 15 minutes and all the accused were granted bail. BJP leader Subrahmanya Swamy, who files this petition against them strongly opposed granting of bail to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, but the court rejects his arguments and grants bail to all. The court posts this case to February 20, 2016.   While former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh stood surety for Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Wadra gives surety for her brother Rahul Gandhi. A galaxy of Congress party leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Ambika Soni, Shiela Dikshit, Ashwini Kumar, Meira Kumar, AK Antony and a couple of dozens like them attend the court to witness the trial. Later, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi virtually feel very relaxed have been greeted by them all. Then they all reached the party head office and spitted fire on the Modi government stating the case is mere political vendetta.

Line clear for release of Nirbhaya juvenile offender

  Delhi High Court refused to stay on the release of juvenile offender of the Nirbhaya case. Responding to the petition filed by BJP leader Subrahmanya Swamy, today the court refused to extend the juvenile’s stay in the reform home. Despite intelligence report about his radicalizing during his stay in the reform home and central government’s appeal for extending his stay, the court cleared way for his release on Sunday.   Nirbhaya’s (Jyothy Singh) parents are quite upset with the court decision. Her mother Asha Devi said “Even after all our efforts, the culprit who committed such a heinous crime has been allowed to walk free. We still appeal the court and the Government of India not to let him go free into society. He may turn dangerous for society if allowed to go out from the juvenile house.”   However the courts generally go by book and not with the emotions or imaginary problems. Hence, it is Government of India to act quickly and take appropriate steps in his case. Even if he is allowed to go free, he may face severe humiliation in the hands of the society for his heinous crime. If so, he may turn into a hard core anti-social element and pose threat to society. So, the government has to do something to prevent such things.

It proves again he is clueless!

  Whether it is coincidence or strategic, TDP government creates a dilemma and an embarrassing situation for YSR Congress party by taking up debate on Dr. Ambedkar in the state assembly. Although, YSR Congress party disrupts house proceedings and has been suspended from the house, it couldn’t dare to openly oppose a debate on Dr. Ambedkar in the house.   YSR Congress party President Jagan Mohan Reddy alleges that TDP Government comes up with this idea merely to avoid debate on call money and sex racket etc. issues in the house. He said debate on Dr. Ambedkar was not in the agenda when the house was adjourned for the first time on yesterday morning but it was inducted in between.   Even if he believes that ruling TDP add this matter to the agenda to avoid embarrassing debate on call money and other issues, it become clear that Jagan Mohan Reddy fails to counter this idea and he is clueless on how to deal with such situations. He and his partymen are facing this kind of bitter experiences quite often only because of his over enthusiasm on any issue. This kind of situations can be easily tackled if would consulted senior leaders of his party and follow their suggestions. But, he prefers to guide them instead of taking their valuable suggestions. Obviously his ideas back fires at him and his party, whether it was a fight against land acquisition or special status or call money issue. He needs to blame himself for it and certainly not the ruling party or his own party.

Who is Boggula Srinivas?

  Perhaps, no one knows who Boggula Srinivas is if he won’t write a book “Pawan Kalyan hatao, politics bachao.” Even after writing it, still many people don’t know who he is. He caught the media attention for a brief period in the last year, when approached Telangana Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy seeking police protection. He fears Pawan Kalyan fans may attack him as he strongly criticized their beloved hero in his book.   He put his book in the Hyderabad Book Exhibition held last year. But no one comes to prevent him from doing so and none knows whether his books were purchased at all or not. Pawan Kalyan fans not even mind to speak about his book. They simply ignored as if unaware of it.   Once again, Srinivas approaches Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy seeking police protection as he wants to put his book in the exhibition this year too. He seems to be trying to catch the media and get free publicity for his book.   Several times, Pawan Kalyan openly admitted that he also committed many mistakes and made several wrong steps like any human beings, which helps him to choose the right path in his life. In fact, he welcomes criticism on him from his fans and rivals with which he wants to trace out and rectify mistakes. So, it is absurd to think that he will let his fans attack Srinivas. Instead, if Srinivas seeks Pawan Kalyan help for sale of his book, definitely he may help him for it.

Chicago University declares doctorate for AP CM

  Chicago University of Illinois, USA declared doctorate degree for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his service in development of Andhra Pradesh state. Responding to this pleasant surprising news Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said “I am very much thankful to Chicago University for considering my name for the doctorate. I feel very much honored with this doctorate. But, I love to find a permanent slot in people’s hearts than anything else. I think it would be the highest honor for me than anything else. Earlier, some universities offered me doctorate, but then I politely refused to accept them. But, I accepted this prestigious doctorate from Chicago University hoping it would help us to strengthen our bonds with US and our people living there.”   Soon after this pleasant news spreads, TDP ministers, leaders and eminent people of the state and from faraway places start greeting him for this rare honor. Quite coincidently today itself National Literary Academy has declared National Literary Academy Award to noted writer Olga for her short stories book named Vimukta.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai unleashes his plans for India

  Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced many sops to India during his ongoing visit in the country as a part of his Google for India program. A huge complex will be built for Google products development at Hyderabad. It would be biggest in complex in Asia and outside the USA. Google will increase its manpower in in its Bangalore office. Google will make huge investments in Engineering and Commercial businesses in India. Google will provide Wi-Fi facility in 100 railway stations across in India.   Google will set up Balloon Towers in rural areas of the country through which nearly 3 lakh villages will be provided internet connection. Google will work together with National Skill Development and 30 universities across the country for providing training for 20 lakh youth in Android development. A virtual key board created by Google that makes typing easy in 11 Indian languages will be released soon.

AP Assembly and Council adjourned

  Andhra Pradesh state assembly and council sessions that begins today adjourned to tomorrow without conducting any business as the main opposition party YSR Congress party legislatures disrupted the house proceedings demanding for an immediate discussion on call money issue. AP Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao suspended two MLAs of YSR Congress party Shivaprasada Reddy of Proddutur and Ramalingeswara Rao of Tuni for obstructing the recording of house proceedings. Speaker Kodela suspends them for two days from the house. Later, he adjourned the house to tomorrow when he fails to calm down YSR Congress party MLAs.   State legislative council was also adjourned to tomorrow for the same reasons. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tried to convince the opposition party that they can discuss on the call money issue after he makes an announcement on it tomorrow, but in vain. Hence, the first day of the five days of sessions has been wasted.

YSRCP MPs demands for special status to AP state

  Many people like Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, AP PCC President Raghuveera Reddy, former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar opined that YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy is not fighting seriously for special status and many other commitments against the Modi Government fearing his CBI cases may be reactivated. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy seems preferred to ignore their remarks, which is like acknowledging them.   The way his party abruptly starts agitations for special status for AP state, discontinued abruptly without saying any strong reason. Later, it simply switched to spurious liquor deaths case, call money, sex racket, Bauxite mining and other issues with which it can concentrate its attacks on its political enemy TDP Government and its Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu without any fears and limitations.   However, as if to make people of the state convince that it is still continuing its fight for special status, YSR Congress party MPs are currently staging dharna in front of parliament near Gandhi statue today. Its’ senior leader and MP Mekapati Rajamohan speaking to media from there said “Actually, TDP being partner of the Modi government, should stress the Centre for special status and other commitments made to the state in the AP reorganization Act. But, TDP government is not stressing for it due to known reasons. Andhra Pradesh state will prosper only if special status is granted. Even if no one stresses for it, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should keep his promise although he have some problems in implementing it.”

Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi discloses daughter’s name

  Three years passed but none of the criminals of Nirbhaya case are punished until now. Instead the juvenile will be set free on December 20th if the court failed to take any decision on the petitions filed requesting for prolonging his punishment. On her third death anniversary today, several people including her parents Asha Devi and Badrinath gathered at Jantar Mantar and remembered her.   On this occasion her mother disclosed her daughter’s name. “My daughter’s name is Jyothy Singh. There is nothing to feel shy. Instead our government and courts should be ashamed for not able to punish the culprits even after three years. I don’t know whether he is minor or major. What I expect is when the crime is so heinous, age should not be taken into consideration for punishing the culprits.”   Jyothy Singh’s father Badrinath said “I ask our government whether it believes correct to release the juvenile despite his brutal crime. Our legal system and government failed to ensure justice to the victim and punishment to the culprits. The juvenile shouldn’t be released from juvenile home. We have tried to convince the courts and the government, but in vain. Hence, we appeal the people to insist the government to hold the juvenile in juvenile home and punish the culprits of this case.”   Many social activists, women associations, President Pranab Mukhurjee’s daughter Sharmistha Mukhurjee, Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi, former DCW Chief Barkha Singh and many people attended this 3rd death anniversary day of Jyothy Singh today. They paid tributes to her and made very valuable suggestions to the government in their speeches. Let us hope government and our legal system lend their ears to their suggestions and appeals.

YSRCP announces it agenda for Assembly sessions

  YSR Congress party has formally announced its agenda for the winter assembly sessions of the state. Its senior leader Jyothula Nehru speaking to media at Vijayawada today, said “We are going to raise call money, sex racket, sand mafia and spurious liquor deaths case in the assembly sessions. We will also insist the government to implement complete ban on liquor in the state. We will fight against the GO issued by it allowing Bauxite mining in Visakha Agency area. Our fight against Bauxite mining will continue until the government roll back its GO issued for it.”   “Our party will also pressurize the government to take appropriate action to control the growing prices of essential commodities. TDP has promised to provide employment to one person in each family in the state, but couldn’t fulfill its promise until now. There are several such commitments made by it during elections period. Our party is going to stress the government for implementation of all its elections promises.” he said.   YSR Congress party may have chalked out its agenda and strategy for the assembly sessions. But, generally many issues mentioned by it now may provide a base for kick starting an awkward battle. The issues may be sidelined when the fight between ruling and opposition parties’ members begins. Previous experiences are revealing that they may dedicate their whole time for criticizing and abusing each other rather than discussing these issues.

Foundation stone for AIIMS will be laid on 19th

  As a part of development package offered to Andhra Pradesh in the AP reorganization Act, Centre has granted All India Institute of Medical Sciences to AP state few months ago and foundation stone for the same will be laid on December 19th at Mangalagiri, Guntur district. The state government has allotted 193 acres of land for AIIMS. Centre will provide 100 per cent funds for this premium medical institution.   State minister for medical and health Dr. Kamineni Srinivasa Rao inspected the location yesterday and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials for making arrangements for this foundation stone laying ceremony. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, union ministers, state ministers, MLAs, MPs and many others will attend this ceremony. A public meeting will be held in the same place after the ceremony. Hence, officials are making elaborate arrangements for this program. Foundation stone will be laid on December 19th at 11 am.

Kejriwal takes the fight to next level

  Delhi government lead by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal always found in war mode with the central government on issue or the other since last one year. Like any others, they both blame each other for playing foul game. A fresh battle kick started with CBI officials’ raiding on Delhi Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office two days back.   Arvind Kejriwal directly blames Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it and BJP refuted his allegations. Today, he took the fight to next level alleging that CBI officials raided his Chief Secretary’s office to find any papers related DDCA scam in which Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was alleged to be involved and certainly not in connection with the case CBI officials are stating. He alleges that CBI officials may took the copies of the DDCA papers from his chamber and hurriedly left after he comes to media condemning CBI raids on his office. Kejriwal asks after all why Arun Jaitley was so worried in DDCA scam if he believes is innocent. Kejriwal has released the copies of the papers recovered from his Chief Secretary’s office which are no way related to any case. They are office stationery indent papers signed by some officials.   CBI officials and Arun Jaitley both refuted his allegations. CBI officials stated that Rajendra Kumar has been booked for allegedly favoring a private firm during 2007-14. CBI alleges that Rajendra Kumar helped the private firm in getting five contracts worth around nine crores. Hence, he has been booked under 120-B of the IPC (criminal conspiracy), and 13(2), 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.   Interestingly, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha also made some interesting remarks on this matter. He strongly objected Kejriwal abusing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time he also questioned the timing of CBI raids on Kejriwal’s office. He tweets, “In politics, timing is everything. This was definitely not the right time for the raid. Hope wish & pray that this does not boomerang on us.”

Malladi Vishnu files anticipatory bail petition

  Vijayawada City Congress party president Malladi Vishnu, who was accused in the spurious liquor deaths case, has filed anticipatory bail petition in Vijayawada Metropolitan Court through his lawyer on Tuesday. The court accepts his petition and posted it for trail on December 18th.   Malladi Vishnu has been absconding from the police ever since his name was added in this case as 9th accused. Police search teams went to Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar on a tip off about his whereabouts but couldn’t trace him until now. However, he managed to file anticipatory bail petition in Vijayawada Metropolitan Court yesterday. His close relatives and family members who are holding license of Swarna Bar and Restaurant are also did not attend before the police for questioning despite summoned. Hence, police have served notices to them again.

Postmortem Report reveals baby killed due to injuries

  The demolition drive jointly taken up by Railway and Revenue officials in Shakur Basti in West Delhi kills a six month baby sleeping in a house. The officials have demolished a house without minding to check whether if there is anyone inside the house or not. But, the officials took part in this drive argued that the baby was died two hours before demolition work begins.   But, the postmortem submitted by Sanjay Gandhi Hospital doctors reveals that the baby was died because of severe head and chest injuries. They found the baby’s ribs were also broken. The baby was died due to severe injuries, heavy bleeding and shock mentioned in the postmortem report. Obviously, it leaves the officials clueless on how to defend themselves.   Delhi High Court summoned all the officers who are responsible for this demolition drive and baby’s death. National Human Rights Commission also served notices to railways and revenue officials, who took part in this demolition drive. Besides the death of infant, the poor people displaced are facing very hard time as they all are forced to live in the open place during chilling winter session. AAP workers and Arvind Kejriwal’s government is helping them.

Delhi CM fumes upon Modi for CBI raids

  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal virtually bursts like volcano on Prime Minister Narendra Modi after CBI sleuths conducted raid on his Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office and seized some files today morning. CBI raids on the Chief Secretary office in the 3rd floor of the Delhi Secretariat in which Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office was also located.   CBI conducted raids on Rajendra Kumar’s office in connection with the CNG Fitness scam case. He was alleged to be involved in the scam and abusing his powers in favor of a private firm during last few years. CBI sleuths have seized some documents from Rajendra Kumar’s office and also registered a case against him.   CM Arvind Kejriwal sharply reacting on this development straight away blames Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it. He said Prime Minister Modi is a coward and psychopath. He tweets “CBI sleuths are actually searching in my office and checking files in my chamber in the Secretariat. Let Modi say which file he wants? CBI raids my office…when Modi couldn’t handle me politically. He resorts to this cowardice. I am the only CM who dismissed, on my own a minister and a senior officer on charges of corruption and handed their cases to CBI. If CBI had any evidence against Rajender, why didn’t they share it with me? I would have acted against him?” Union Minister for Urban Development swiftly reacts to his allegations. He said “It becomes a fashion for Arvind Kejriwal to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name for every silly thing. It becomes a fashion for him to quarrel with the Central Government and drag Modi’s name into it. Prime Minister has nothing to do with the CBI raids.”
