Are you a “Social Butterfly” – Then you might have used these 5 emojis for sure!

It is a known fact that most of us communicate with our near and dear ones via social network. And this communication generally includes a lot of smiles known as “emojis”. In total there are 2,666 emojis in the Unicode Standard as of June 2017. The first emoji was created in 1999 in Japan by Shigetaka Kurita. These emojis have become so common in our lives that we have dedicated a special day for them. Well after having read that “World Emoji Day” is celebrated on 17th July every year - I was very curious to know how many and which emojis are used every day on an average.    Facebook – to which each one of us are addicted says that more than 60 million emojis are used on Facebook each day while more than 5 billion emojis are used via messenger.  Whether we want to convey that we’re extremely excited or really sad about something, we somehow find it easier to use an emoticon that describes the way we feel instead of trying to find the words to express it. Happy face emoji account for about 44 percent of all that are used, followed by sad faces at 14 percent, hearts at 13 percent, hand gestures at 5 percent, and the rest at very small percentages. Agree? Then let’s have a look at the 5 emojis which we all use often.     Laughing with Tears of Joy  We cannot describe in words how expressive this emoji is. This emoji can be used in multiple situations. Maybe something made you laugh so hard that you started to tear up. Or maybe you’re so happy about something that you can’t help but shed a few tears. When was the last time you used this “emoji”? Smiling with Heart Shaped eyes  Are you in love? Then what will be a better way of letting them know that you love them the most, even when you are extremely busy at work. This emoji has a look of complete and utter adoration on its face. Though this emoji is generally used to express love to your dear one, it can also be used to express love towards something like your pretty wedding gown or a birthday celebration which you cannot forget. Already started thinking of when had you used this emoji? Thumbs Up  This is a self-explanative emoji and can be used in many situations. We use it to express approval of something or encourage someone for having done a great job. So when did you give a “Thumbs-up” for encouraging your friend? The winking face  Are you the naughty one in the gang? Then the most obvious emoji you might have used would be a winking face. The winking face emoji implies that someone is just joking around in a playful way.  Loudly Crying While no one wants to be this sad, sometimes, people need to express how bad a situation makes them feel. This is the perfect emoji for that. When was the last time you used this “emoji”? We hope you found these emojis both entertaining and expressive. If yes – then do let us know which one is your favorite emoji!!!

Golden Sprinter Hima Das

World is speaking about our sprinter today. She had a wonderful strategy of slowing down initially and gathering all her energy for the final 100 meters. Yes! I am speaking about our Hima Das – an 18 year old Young Indian Athlete who became the first Indian track athlete to hold a global title on winning the Gold medal at the World U-20 Championships 2018 at Tampere, Finland, in Women's 400m with a time of 51.46 seconds. Everyone including our dear Prime Minister congratulated her on her victory but how did I come to know about Hima?     Like always I was having a regular visit to my Facebook page and this time, I was constantly reading only one name “Hima Das”. Out of curiosity, like everyone I wanted to get into the detail of who she was. As soon as I typed Hima in my browser – I was disappointed to the core. But why – I could see people searching “Hima Das Caste”. Feeling dejected I continued my search and to my surprise she was a Gold Medalist at the U20 commonwealth Games 2018. My joy doubled and it did not last too longer since I could read “Athletics Federation of India” tweeting “#HemaDas speaking to media after her SF win at #iaaftampere2018 @iaaforg Not so fluent in English but she gave her best there too.” After all noticing all this – I was just imagining how can we be so cruel that instead of congratulating her heart fully – we are channelizing our thoughts to know her caste and finding out her mistakes. Can we grow a little older and congratulate her for bringing glory to the Motherland.     Today I was glad to read that our winner – instead of celebrating her victory has starting a campaign for her city against illegal influx. Not only this, she has already started preparing for her journey for Olympics 2020. Indian Government has also declared that Hima Das will get end-to-end support towards her preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics under government's Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS).     After reading this, the young one has reminded me of a wonderful quote rightly said by Dr. A P J Kalam, “Don't take rest after your first victory because if you fail in second, more lips are waiting to say that your first victory was just luck.” My heart is only wishing for her continuous victory. All the Best Hima – You have a long way to go!!
