PM Visits Hyderabad Blasts Site, to Meet Injured

Three days after twin blasts rocked Hyderabad's Dilsukhnagar area, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday visited the site where the explosions took place. Accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, he first stopped at the Anand Tiffin Centre in front of Konark Theatre. The Chief Minister briefed him about the incidents. He later visited the scene of the second blast, a few meters away. He further visited the hospital where the injured are being treated.
Earlier in the day, the PM landed at Hyderabad’s Begumpet airport to go to Dilsukhnagar, the site of Thursday’s twin blasts. He was received by Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy along with other senior officials of the state.
Singh took a chopper to Victoria Memorial Home and from there he went to Dilsukhnagar. After visiting hospitals, the PM is scheduled to go back to Victoria Memorial and fly back to the Begumpet airport to leave for Delhi in the afternoon.
