Although, AP NGO president Ashok babu opts for continuing the strike indefinitely, the employees, who are solely depends on their monthly salaries are reluctant to continue the strike any further. Hence, there was difference of opinions among the NGOs. Today the Seemandhra Gazetted Officers Association and the Panchyat Raj Employees Association have declared that they are calling off their two month long strike and will be joining duties from tomorrow.
The AP NGO leaders led by Ashok Babu, who met CM Kiran Kumar Reddy today, were told that he can’t give any assurance on behalf of the party high command or the Central government for halting the bifurcation process.
This puts the ball in NGOs court to decide whether to continue their strike or call off. Already, Teachers, RTC and Electrical employees have called off their strike and joined their duties few days back. Hence, it would be highly impossible to continue the strike without co-operation of all the employees. Even if Ashok babu and his team of leaders prefer to continue their strike, definitely they are going to face embarrassment at the end.
