Spring Summer Fashion Trends 2013

The Spring Summer Fashion Tips 2013 runways exploded with so many fantastic trends that you’ll be spoilt for choice when planning your shopping sprees, and even the most demanding fashionistas will surely find something to like.

This trend is definitely not for everyone, and the trick to metallic fabrics is to tone them down with a neutral hue and let the iridescence shine for you. Alternatively, try some hologram accessories, like a belt, a clutch or a pair of heels for a gentle take on the trend and you’ll be surprised by how much a plain dress or a pair of jeans can be brought back to life

Bright colours in eye-popping shades of cobalt blue, acid lemon, neon pink and radioactive orange which were all over the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2013. While it’s important not to shy away from these beautiful colours that instantly catch the eye, it’s crucial to know the limits: after all, a head-to-toe baby blue finished off with accessories in the same colour might look inspiring and or-so-fresh on the catwalk, but not in real life.  The easiest and safest way to wear neon and pastel hues is to colour block them with neutral hues for balance, team up with an all black attire or bring them in through such separates as pastel skinny jeans.

White, a colour synonymous with all things Spring/Summer which opened the shows of such fashion giants as Roberto Cavalli, Jil Sander and Missoni. Head-to-toe white ensembles are big this season, whether we are talking crisp white shirts with oversized tailoring, white tuxedo jackets with long lapels or layered evening dresses with cut-out designs and sheer inserts showing a little skin without baring is so characteristic of the many Spring/Summer 2013 collections.

This year, retro trend is reflected through cropped bra tops, babydoll dresses, small box bags, Broderie Anglaise, flower power and Austen Powers style patterns neat and sharp throughout. If you want the bold print in your outfit to do all the talking, keep your accessories simple and go for some 60s-inspired.
