The wait is getting shorter for one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects, as the makers of Ramayana have officially confirmed its release date. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, the epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari will arrive worldwide for first week of November, with the announcement made on the first day of Navaratri. The advance bookings are set to begin on Dussehra.
The release date poster offers a glimpse into the grand cinematic world of Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor appears as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman in the foreground, while Yash’s imposing appearance as Ravana provides a striking visual contrast. The tagline, “Yeh Ram Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai,” adds to the scale and anticipation surrounding the project.
Produced by Namit Malhotra and Monster Mind Creations on a massive scale, the film aims to bring the traditional epic to the big screen with elaborate production design, costumes and cutting-edge technology. The visuals unveiled so far indicate the scale of the world being created for the adaptation, which is planned as a two-part cinematic saga.

The technical team further strengthens the film’s ambitions, with DNEG handling the visual effects and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman collaborating with Hans Zimmer on the music. Sony Pictures will distribute the film internationally, giving the project a significant global theatrical reach.
The first part of Ramayana is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 5, while the second part is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027. With its high-profile cast, international technical collaborators and ambitious scale, the film is positioning itself as a major theatrical event.
