Please disqualify our MLA: YSR party

People of Andhra Pradesh may remember YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy stating “Kiran Kumar Reddy government was surviving on my mercy. It can be pulled down anytime I want.” However, he couldn’t topple his government even after admitting 13 Congress MLAs into his party. At the same time he also admits many TDP MLAs into his party. He continued this practice till the last day of filing nominations in the general elections. Then he didn’t see anything wrong in his decision. But, he now he find fault with his party MLA from Wyra, Khammam district B.Madanlal for joining TRS party recently.

YSR party floor Leader Thati Venkateswarlu, who is also expected to bid good bye to party sooner or later, has submitted a petition to Telangana Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary seeking disqualification of his party MLA Madhan Lal. He also submitted some newspaper and video clippings showing B Madhan Lal joining TRS party. He argued that Madhan Lal needs to be disqualified under the provisions of Clause 2 (1) (a) of the 10th Schedule of the Constitution. He argued that it is unfair to continue as MLA after joining TRS party because he got it through YSR party.

However, it is interesting to know T. Venkateswarulu and P .Venkateshwarlu both YSR Congress legislatures often meeting CM KCR these days. However, they condemn the media reports about their plans to join TRS party. They said they are meeting CM KCR to discuss about various works pending in their constituencies. They said they will not leave YSR Congress party. However if they also have any plans to join TRS, then they themselves have to ask the Speaker to disqualify them for the same reasons as there is no one to approach the Speaker on party behalf.
