Mahboobnagar Defeat: TRS Blames JAC Kodandaram, Seniors

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) politburo met on Monday and did a post-mortem of party's Mahboobnagar defeat in the recently held bypolls. The meeting concluded that the party faced defeat in Mahboobnagar due to passive response from the JAC leadership headed by prof. Kodandaram. It was also felt that some senior leaders in the party too have sabotaged the party's prospects in Mahboobnagar. Even KCR said in the meeting that the list of leaders who worked against party candidate is lying with him.

The TRS politburo decided to field its candidate for Parkal constituency in Warangal district, where BJP already has announced its candidate. In Parkal, TRS may have to fight out alone as CPI, a partner in the JAC, is also said to be thinking of contesting from Parkal. It is obvious that as far as Parkal bypoll is concerned TRS has to sail alone on its own. For this, the TRS has constituted a committee headed by senior leader Nayani Narasimha Rao to pick suitable candidate for Parkal. The meeting also resolved to celebrate party's 12th formation day on 27th of this month at Vikarabad.
