Sumitra Mahajan likely to be elected as LS Speaker

According to latest information, NDA government has finalized the name of Sumitra Mahajan for Lok Sabha Speaker post. She is likely to be elected as Lok Sabha speaker by the members of the house on June 6th.

Sumitra Mahajan hails from Madhya Pradesh state. Basically she is a lawyer. She has been representing Indore from 1989. She has won from Indore for eight times, including in the latest elections. She has served as minister of state of for Human Resources, Petroleum and Communications between 2002 and 04. She also has vast experience in dealing with parliamentary affairs.
