Shivsena’s suggestion to Modi Government

BJP’s ally in Maharashtra Shivsena is one among few which opposed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Lahore. It argues that Pakistan can’t be trusted upon as it betrayed India several times in the past. In its newspaper ‘Samna,’ it strongly reacted on the terrorists attack on Pathankot airbase.

It stated “We have been telling the Modi government that Pakistan can’t be trusted. But, he went to Lahore to have a cup of tea with his counterpart of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif. In return, we have lost seven soldiers. This incident is underlining a bitter fact that our boarders are not safe and our internal security system is very weak."

"Six terrorists of Pakistan have managed to ruin our self-respect. What we have done so far is just giving condolence to the martyrs in social networking platforms like Twitter. Had it been the Congress government today, many may be demanding for taking revenge on Pakistan. But, there is absolute silence maintained even after such a big attack. Then what is the use of displaying our ammunition during Republic Day parade? PM Narendra Modi should focus on the country instead of trying to unite the whole world,” stated in Samna newspaper reflecting Shivsena’s views on this incident.
