3 Guinness world records at Modi's birthday events

Yesterday Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 66th birthday andthe entire nation wished him in their own special ways. In one such case the prime Minister's birthdayevents set three Guinness world records. Atul Bakery has joined forces with Shakti Foundation, an NGO working for the empowerment of rural women, and prepared a 7-foot tall cake that weighs a total of 3750 kilograms.

“Ours will be above 8 feet and it may go to up to 12 feet too weighing 2 tonne to 2.5 tonne. We have already taken pre-approval and guidelines of the same from Guinness Team,” the report quoted Sonal Rochani, co-founder of Shakti Foundation as saying. The giant cake will by mentally challenged and underprivileged girls in presence of more than 5,00 other women at the Maliba Party plot at Vesu, Surat.  The cake, which was made by a set of 30 chefs, seeks to honour both, PM Modi and his Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.

In another event thousands of differently-abled participants on their wheelchairs have created a new world record. The eventheld at Gujarat's Navsari saw the biggest ever logo made by the 'Divyang' participants on wheelchairs which has made its way to the Guinness World Record. The logo read, "Happy Birthday PM". Another record attempt will be made by providing hearing aids to 1,000 hearing-impaired persons.  The Gujarat state government, which will organise the grand celebration, will distribute 17,000 kits among 11,223 differently-abled people.
