BCCI president N. Srinivasan turns into combative mode with the growing demand for his resignation owing to the arrest of his son-in-law Gurunath Mayippan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings team in betting charges. He said it is media which is hounding him for resignation and not the members of his board.
He held a press conference on Sunday, where he reiterates that he is not going to step down as he did nothing wrong. He also announced forming of 3 member committee to investigate the fixing and betting scandal in the cricket. The committee will have two members of the IPL operations committee and one independent person.
He said "The BCCI will act without fear or favour to investigate and if player, franchise or owners have breached any rules, action will be taken."
