Nellore Train Accident: YSRCP MLA Demands Thorough Probe

Nellore train accident update: As per the reports so far, 47 people have charred to death in the Chennai bound Nizamuddin-Chennai Tamilnadu Express fire accident near Nellore this morning. The reports also say the 4 of 7 passengers who boarded the train at Warangal are safe. The Railwayas have announced ex-gracia of Rs. 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased and Rs. 1 lakh for the seriously injured.

Kavali YSRCP MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy, who is closely following the rescue operations at Nellore, demanded for a thorough probe into the accident by a sitting judge. He also demanded for enhancement of ex-gracia from 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs and employment for one person in the family of the deceased. He told that so far 17 dead bodies have been taken out from the gutted bogie. He said that the government should also probe the anti-social elements' angle in the accidents as a kerosene tin apart from three people were found travelling in the fateful compartment without reservation.
