Election Code of Conduct and Nagma’s episode

With Congress MLA Gajraj Sharma publicly kissing Meerut candidate actress Nagma on the cheek while she was attending an election rally in Hapur has sparked a row among women’s associations though the poor lady is yet to react to this gross violation of decency that too by a sitting MLA.

I mean what was he thinking when he just emerged from the crowd and put his hand on her face and gave her a quick peck on the cheek with the whole thing relayed on national TV. She pushed away his hand in anger but left in quiet dignity. Now what he would probably say was that it could be a show of fatherly affection and surely she must be in consultations with her party members and her PR machinery on how she should react to this obnoxious behavior.


For sure we need to add a section in the Election Code of Conduct in the General Conduct section that no sitting MLA or MP should publicly hug or kiss any lady while canvassing.
