Veteran actor Manchu Mohan babu is one among the few Telugu film stars, who is very much interested in state politics but lacks courage to join active politics. Perhaps, Chiranjeevi’s failures and his struggle for existence in Congress party might frighten him from joining politics. Yet, he couldn’t stop himself from commenting on state and national level politics. Recently, he and his family members have visited Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy to console her. Later, he sharply criticized Congress high command stating big robbers are sitting at New Delhi.
Once again, he spoke about his political interests yesterday, but said he doesn’t have that much courage to launch a political party on his own but definitely will take active part on behalf of some political party in the forth coming elections. He said soon he will announce about the party, in which he is going to join. He said he is just looking for a political platform to serve the people and not interested in power.
Since, he is criticizing the Congress party and as he belongs to Chittoor district, it is understood that Congress and TRS were not in his list. Then remain TDP and YSR Congress parties only. His previous association with TDP may encourage him to choose it.
More over he often states that late NTR is like his elder brother and mentor in his film career. Hence, he may feel home at TDP, as there is NTR clan and also there are his co-stars like Murali Mohan, Babu Mohan and Kavita etc in the party. TDP also has approached him some time ago offering a ticket in his native Chittoor district for the forth coming elections. So, he is likely to join TDP.
