Koratala Siva directed Srimanthudu is most memorable film for superstar Mahesh Babu since it ended as one of biggest blockbusters in Tollywood and provided several awards to the actor. Now, the same film is providing troubles to Mahesh and Koratala.
A novelist named Sarath Chandra post release of Srimanthudu alleged that, director Koratala Siva had lifted the entire plot of his novel- Chachentha Prema, which was published in a leading Telugu weekly a few years ago.
Sarath Chandra went on to file a complaint under the section 120B of the IPC. The first Additional Metropolitan Judge in Nampally, Hyderabad summoned Mahesh, Koratala Siva and the producers at Mythri Movie Makers yesterday. All the accused will have to appear before the court for a hearing.
It may be mentioned here that, Sarath Chandra in the past got an injunction order against Srimanthudu’s Bollywood remake, allegedly featuring Hrithik Roshan.
