Alagiri, the ousted member of DMK and son of it’s supremo Karunanidhi is all set to defeat his own party in Madurai. Alagiri who has a strong hold in and around Madurai has tried to patch up with his father but wasn’t successful. It’s a known fact that Alagiri has some serious problems with his half-brother Stalin who is being predicted as next CM from DMK.
On one such occasion, Alagiri was ousted from the party and was never allowed to come back. Lack of Alagiri’s support could cause huge setback for the party in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. “I will not vote for any party this time.... They (DMK) don’t know how to use me.” Said Alagiri speaking to a leading newspaper. Though Alagiri now states that he is not going to support any party, sources reveal that his supporters are working hard to defeat the DMK candidates in Madurai.
