The dare devil Lagadapati Rajagopal, who returned from abroad recently, soon after landing at New Delhi, called the media and said “Congress party will not divide the state. Who ever are dreaming for division of the state will definitely disappoint on January 28th.”
Once again he holds a press meet Vijayawada city on Friday. This time he threw challenge to TRS president K.Chandrashekar rao. He asked if he could contest from either Secunderabad or Hyderabad parliamentary constituencies and win the elections, he will never talk about Samaikyandhra again. He also flayed Chandrababu for changing his stand in favor Telangana. He said his decision will hurt late NTR’s soul. Lagadapati asked Chandrababu to reconsider his decision of supporting Telangana formation. He opined that, the Telangana agitations will be subdued over time when the Congress party announce its decision against Telangana.
But, what makes him speak so vociferously while all his colleagues in Congress party is playing a low profile on this particular issue? Perhaps, TRS leader Harish rao’s statement helps us to analyze this issue. He said that who ever is now speaking vociferously for Samaikyandhra, are merely trying to impress the people so as when the state is divided they would be the peoples’ first choice to rule the state as Chief Minister.Whether he is right or not, Lagadapati has once owed to quit the politics forever if the state is divided.
