KTR calls Jagan seeking YCP MLA support

Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is said to be called YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday seeking his party MLA’s support to the TRS 5th candidate in the MLC elections. It is learnt that Jagan positively responds to his request. Actually, YSR Congress party has three MLAs in Telangana, but two of them have already joined the TRS party and only one MLA Venkateswarulu is continuing in the party.

There was a general belief that YSR Congress party will obviously vote for the TRS candidate as it has good terms with it. But, the complaint lodged by YSR party leaders against Telangana assembly secretary Dr. Raja Sadaram with EC yesterday has created some suspense about its intention. They complain that Sadaram is acting like the ruling TRS party agent and so he shouldn’t be allowed to conduct the MLC elections as returning officer. Their complaint creates an impression that YSR Congress party is not going to vote for the TRS MLC candidate. But, the suspense was cleared as Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to be positively responded to KTR’s appeal. KTR also approached MIM that has 7 MLAs, CPI and CPM parties that have one MLA each for their support.
