JD Lakshmi Narayana likely to get extension

CBI Joint Director JD Lakshmi Narayana likely to get one more year extension to his service in the state as Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases have reached crucial stage and the CBI is about to file its final charge sheet in his cases very shortly. According to latest information, Prime Minister Office has approved the one year extension proposal sent by CBI recently. More over, Lakshmi Narayana also is said to be appealed his superiors for one year extension to enable his children continue their education in the capital Hyderabad.

Lakshmi Narayana is actually supposed to be relieved from his duties on June 7th and is expected to return to his native Maharashtra cadre to take charge as Chief of Mumbai Crime Branch. He has completed 7 years of deputation period including two one-year extensions in the state. If, this is confirmed it will be his 3rd extension, which will be a phenomena in CBI’s history as no officer at any circumstances can be given extension more than two years in deputation period. An official announcement about his service extension in the state yet to come from the government.

If, he is given one year extension, then it may directly show its impact on YSR Congress party, which is opposing him by tooth and nail all these years for fixing Jagan Mohan Reddy with disproportionate assets cases. However, majority of the people of the state may welcome his extension as they strongly believe that he is fair and courageous officer ever seen in CBI.
