The Andhra Pradesh high court has dismissed the bail petition of Y.S.R.Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case. It has agreed with the arguments of the CBI and rejected the bail plea of Kadapa MP.
Justice Sesha Sayana Reddy of the high court has rejected the bail plea of Jagan stating the statutory bail petition of Jagan as not maintainable. Earlier, Jagan has sought the bail stating that the CBI could not file the chargesheet in his case in the stipulated period of 90 days. In return, the investigating agency has argued that the ’90 days’ clause would not apply in this particular case. The high court has postponed the hearing on the ordinary bail petition of the leader to 26th of this month.
It may be recalled that the two bail pleas of Jagan were dismissed by a special court in this month itself. The Supreme Court had also rejected the bail petition of the leader in last October.
