With the CBI naming YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the prime accused in the chargesheet filed in his disproportionate assets case, it is being speculated whether he would be arrested or not.
The ruling party in the state and at the centre is in a dilemma whether to arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy at this juncture or not. Congress is fearing that, if he is arrested now, before the upcoming by-elections in 18 AP Assembly constituencies, it is very likely that he will get public sympathy and may win all the 18 seats. On the other hand, if he is not arrested, people may think that false charges have been levelled against him, just in order to harass him. That way also, people's sympathy will be with Jagan Mohan Reddy. Congress is now caught between this dilemma and in all probabilities, may wait for more opportune time to arrest him, say the political observers.
