IITs and IIMs in every State in India

The President of India in his inaugural address of the Joint Session of the Parliament in Delhi had stated many reforms which the Government of India was planning to do and one major decision in the field of education was to set up the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in every state."We will set up IITs and IIMs in every state. In order to empower school teachers and students, a national e-library will be established," Mukherjee said while addressing the joint session of both houses of parliament.

"It (government) will formulate a National Education Policy aimed at meeting the challenges posed by lack of quality, research and innovation in our educational institutions," he added  .This was also a part of the BJP manifesto which was stated during the election and a humongous task to identify proper places in the rest of the states to set up campus , recruitment and other administrative operations involved in setting up these centers and not to forget the time taken for completing proposal needs to be seen.
