Hits and Flops of Modi Govt

The present government took charge on May 26, 2014 after Modi took the BJP-led NDA to a massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections. It has completed two years today. There have been certain projects which have caught the eye of the public and some which just did not impress them.

A poll conducted about the same stated that NDA government's schemes and policies like Start-Up India, single-window clearance and banking reforms have caught the attention of the public. But the big disappointments have been the failure to get the GST Bill passed in Parliament, no major PSU divestment, slowdown in disposing litigation & dispute resolution, lack of labour law reforms and railways privatisation.
