ED attaches Rs.47 crores of Jagan’s Companies

According to PTI reports, Enforcement Directorate has attached properties worth Rs. 47 crores of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Jagati, Janani and Indira Telivision companies in connection with Penna Cements case. This time, ED also attaches the buildings in Kareem Nagar, Nalgonda, Mehboob Nagar, Kurnool, Nellore, Prakasham, Chittoor and one in Krishna district from where Sakshi newspaper has been publishing. Besides these, properties worth Rs.16.56 crores of Janani Infra company, Rs. 24.85 crores worth properties of Indira Television, Rs. 5.59 crores worth machinery of Jagathi Publications were also attached.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is arguing that all these cases filed against him and his companies by CBI and ED are political motivated. He argues that previous Congress led UPA government has ushered the CBI and ED against him with political intentions.

However, he was able to secure bail well ahead of the general elections and also won very fair number of seats, but the Congress party fails to win not even a single seat in the state Assembly. It is to be noted that now the Congress party is not in power either in the state or at Centre, yet the ED and CBI are handling his cases as usually. If so, he has to blame the NDA government for it now, otherwise he has to admit that both those agencies are doing their job without any political influence.
