4.9 Magnitude Earthquake in Delhi Today

Earthquake in Delhi: A mild earthquake struck parts of Delhi and the national capital region on Monday. According to reports, the quake measuring 4.9 on the Richter Scale jolted around 1.10pm. The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be close to Bahadurgarh, Haryana. However, it caused no damages, according to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Residents and office goers in many areas in Delhi as well as Gurgaon and Noida felt the temblor.As a precautionary measure, high rise buildings in Gurgaon were evacuated to avoid any loss of life. The tremors were also felt in states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and UP.
