Delhi rape victim bold, optimistic on future

Police today said that they had recorded the statement of the gangrape victim in a bus in the capital recently. They said that the 23-year-old girl has given a bold statement to them today.

Deputy Commissioner of Police of the city Chhaya Sharma has informed the media that the statement of the girl had corroborated that of her male friend.

On the other hand, the doctors at Safdarjung Hospital, who are attending on her, said that the lady is so optimistic about her future. They said that the lady is well responding to the medical treatment. The doctors said that the lady is communicating with them more actively than the previous day. They also said that the lady is psychologically well balanced.

The lady has also given the statement to the sub divisional magistrate today. The sources said that the statement is admissible in the court now. It is reported that the lady had narrated the entire incident to the officer.

However, the lady was earlier communicating through writing only.
