12 Terrorists arrested around Delhi

The Delhi police have today arrested 12 people in nexus with JeM, the terrorist organisation. Initially the Delhi Police has caught two people from Gokulpuri area of Delhi, while they were in the process of making an explosive device. The arrest and questioning of these two youth has led to the raids which resulted in a few more arrests. The operation was jointly held by the Delhi police along with the central intelligence agencies.

All these were being suspected to be the members of sleeper cell of Jaish-E-Mohammed group. The group led by Maulana Masood Azar was previously responsible for a numerous attacks on India, the latest of them being the attack on Pathankot Airbase. Delhi police were of the hope that the present arrests might have averted another major terrorist attack on India. The interrogation of these youth might result in some valuable information that might help the police in further raids.
