D Srinivas, Sonia Meeting Kicks Off Speculations

Even as chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and state PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana are scheduled to meet Mrs. Sonia Gandhi on Friday, former PCC chief D Srinivas had a meeting with her today morning on Thursday.

The Sonia-Srinivas meeting gains significance as DS happens to be one among the senior most Congress leaders from Telangana region and was handpicked by Sonia Gandhi for MLC post recently. DS is reportedly considered as the most reliable leader from Telangana region by the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Speculations are rife that DS may be suitably accommodated in the state cabinet or may be nominated as chairman, in case, Telangana regional development committee is formed, say the sources.
