Co-operative society elections soon

The co-operative societies’ elections of the state are going to take place soon after the center’s announcement on bifurcation of the state. Though, political parties are no way related to them, their followers are going to dominate the elections. Hence, it would be considered nothing less to any big election battle. The outcome of these elections will be a mini-referendum on the political parties. Hence, all the parties in the state leaves no stone unturned to win maximum societies in these elections.
Elections for 2,949 co-operative societies in the state will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be conducted on January 31st and the second phase on February 4th. All the district collectors have issued elections notifications on Monday. The last date for nominations for the first phase is January 24th. Nominations scrutiny is on 25th and withdrawing of nominations on 26th. Counting will be completed on the same day of polling.
For the second phase of elections, nominations will be accepted till January 28th. Scrutiny and withdrawals of nominations will be on 29th and 30th subsequently.
